Holy shit. I thought audit senior managers capped out around $140k
Very high, not even close.
Curious to see
Maybe Moss Adams doesn't have the same hard caps as the bigger firms. Im guessing that since smaller firm and smaller offices, a strong SM is more valuable to the firm than at Big 4, where pretty much every employee is replaceable.
I think I know you ... you are that SM who doesn't sleep, right? right? am I right?!!! Could you staff me on the new clients in TX? 😄
I heard of senior managers at my firm making 220. Not big 4 but top 8. -California
^by Top 8 you mean #8. Let's be serious, no SM making 220 at BDO, GT or RSM. Not sure wtf number 8 is.
Bay Area first year sm- 150 base.
LA area 2nd year 160 base
You just 200k OP
anyone still active here?
Added another datapoint for someone not on fishbowl
Very high......😂
I think it's pretty high
Very high.
1st year senior manager in tax making $162k in the Bay Area
3 factors affect pay in public accounting --- region, service line, firm size. Unfortunately, audit gets paid less than tax, consulting, etc. Smaller firms pay more to retain talent and also have less overhead related expenses. BIG4 SM pay starts around $120k-$130k (somewhat similar to what the BDOs, Grants, RSMs).
200k it's more like a director close to partnership.. no way you are making that much outside Big 4 and ALSO base comp 😂
