As long as you think you did the best job you could have and presented the best case for the client based on the facts you had, there’s really nothing to feel terrible about. You did the best you could and the results are what they are. Your client knows that too, it’s how jury trials work!
You win some, you lose some. Hold your head high and get em next time!
It's great to win a trial but you learn more when you lose a trial. Take the time to see if you and your co-chair could have done anything different or if your client was less credible than the other side. All of it will make you more prepared for the next trial.
Make sure to manage their expectations regarding any sort of appeal that they might have in mind

We control imput not output. At the end of the day a jury can do anything.
