A journal to reflect on your first year. Write in it often and reflect on your day, week or month. Write the good, bad and ugly. You will be thankful for it at the end of the year to see how far you came.
I kept one for student teaching and that was so satisfying! Excited to track the progress throughout my first year.
Book bins for each students and/or to organize your class library, chart paper, lamination sheets, and expo markers! These are things that are pricey and I used the most!
I have also seen teachers utilize the floor under their whiteboard or just have the kids keep them at the corner of their desk!
BOOKS !
Your school may give you a first aid kit, but I would definitely get one of those. Look for some of those teeth holders because 3rd graders loose a lot teeth. A box of thank you cards because you will have great people help you out as a new teacher and you need to say thanks. A hobby outside of school and a willingness to have a life outside of school

Extra supplies: scissors, glue, highlighters, pencils, or anything else you might use in class. It makes easier for the times a student doesn't have or "lost" their supplies. (Along with that a designated place for those items)
I recommend getting a personal laminator! It always comes in handy. Scotch has one for like $50
