Finding someone who can give you a referral would be super helpful. You might check on LinkedIn and see if you can find someone, or maybe you'll be lucky and there will be someone here who can help!
I would highly suggest trying to get a referral. That is what really helped me the most.
Try multiple Kaiser facilities, they can be tough to get in to. Once you get in you can move around if you want. I always thought they paid better but from what I’ve seen it’s the same. Healthcare is super cheap for the family which is nice. What’s your experience? It seems like they usually only take lateral moves unless you know someone. So for me I had a year in the ED completing a residency and got an ED position.
Fairly sure Kaiser pays between $90-100k a year for BSN RN, at least based on what I've seen. Not sure about Sacramento specifically but I imagine it won't vary too much from one location to another unless you're talking about really expensive cities.
Trying starting out as a Travel or Registry Nurse. That’s how I was able to get in back in the day.
