I’m a CA w/ 1 YOE and I got registered about 5-6 months ago. I was told prior to being registered that I would get a % of production on top of my base salary. That has not happened yet/slash been discussed. I am nervous to bring it up to my advisors because I am a recent grad and I feel like it might sound like I’m asking for a lot, but I was told this and I didn’t even know it was a thing (but I guess it is common in WM). My team has almost 3mm production so even less than 1% would be anywhere

Left UK 5 years ago as Mgr because got fed up of low comp (and really, it’s the comp:houseprice ratio). Felt like unless you were in IB or Magic Circle law then getting on the property ladder was v difficult. I’m an FA within the bank channel and have made the mistake of leaving my first firm to go to another. bank program that ended up failing and sold our books to another firm. It’s become harder and harder to grow a book now within the bank channel because of Reg BI and it’s going to take me a decade to grow my book to where I want to be. I’m a CFP and finishing up my MBA. I’m thinking of going to another area of Finance all together like PE. Any suggestions for me? NOT looking to go Independent.
