Second this. Salesforce is a sought after skillset both within Deloitte and elsewhere in the industry.

Pick GCP, Azure, or AWS and do an associate cert. You might not end up working on the particular cloud platform but it will make you conversant and you can dig in deeper when needed.

helpfulsmart

This.

Even better if you go beyond just reading the white papers/memorize product offering but develop the skills to implement.

Hey tech folks. I'm mentoring a software engineer graduate and wanted your opinion. I had him write out his 5 year goals to me and it's about finding his niche and specializing in 5 years. Would you say that's too early to think about specializing? My thoughts are to say it's OK if you find your passion and want to specialize, but it's also OK to generalize and pick up more skills and experience in different aspects of tech.

I’ve been considering to stop pursuing the CPA certification and instead wanted to focus around more IT driven certifications like CISSP. I already have my CISA.
