Anything constructive is welcome, including the fact that I could communicate better. So ty!
Check out UX-based consulting (service design, employee experience design, customer experience design, etc). Itâs super interesting & requires empath-type of personality. I made the switch several years ago & never looked back

This is very helpful, I will look into it!
Generally if you're rly good at those skills that becomes more and more apparent to others the higher up you go and the longer you stick around. Usually not by self assessment or telling people those are your strengths. It's one of those show don't tell skills, proof is in the pudding.

I moved into change management for our private equity team and it helped me connect with some high-powered CEOs. I technically work in finance but they all really appreciate me advising them on how to deliver their message down. It has been life-changing for me. I love the work and Iâve been promoted very quickly.
Is this another way of saying youâre not technically strong and want to work around it lol
I meanâŚand if it is??

Congrats! Nothing more for you to do other than relax and enjoy your profound skills.
Sorry that the women in consulting bowl leans towards âhow can I insult this person first?â instead of âhow I can I answer their question?â

Thank you, it's the one reason I didn't post in the consulting bowl. But I have learned otherwise.

Also fyi you still need hard skills to back this up - being a good presenter is meaningless if you have nothing to talk about
Pro
Ok
take on more responsibilities like leading meetings, briefing clients, faciliating team conversations etc
How did you cultivate these strengths?
The question you should be asking if those skills are âprofoundâ is how can you boost your areas for growthâŚ
Pro
Can you facilitate workshops with clients? You donât necessarily need to know all the answers, just be good at helping stakeholders brainstorm and come together productively
Good emotional intelligence, strong inter personal and stakeholder management skills are very important and valuable in consulting. Try to add some tech skills (if you donât already have one), empower yourself with industry knowledge for the client you are working for and you would be one of those top performing consultant that everyone would want in their project.
Good luck OP, as evidenced in the comments here people like confidence but when presenting yourself, donât use superlatives such as very strong or profound strength etc.
If your post was â I am a consultant who has developed some skills such as good emotional intelligence along with facilitation and stakeholders interaction and presentation and looking for advise on how I could leverage these for my growthâŚâ I feel you would have gotten better responses from lovely ladies here.
My first boss taught me âconfidence and arrogance are often mistaken for one another and it boils down to how you approach thingsâ

Thank you for what was one of the most supportive and gentle ways to advise someone. I get the world is tough, especially on portals like this. But I'm genuinely grateful for the advice and the example. Hope your day is as bright as you made mine!
Iâve lead or facilitated different workshops and trainings to our clients such CXO labs, bizchem, etc.
