Applying as a CPA from big 4 helps though, then you sell the interview

What type of finance would you like to pursue and what state are you in?

New York, and I’m open to relocate

CPA with any finance experience? Study finance in school? How many years deep into your career? I’m trying to make a similar pivot and it hasn’t been easy since I have 5 years of accounting experience, but I feel there are 2 ways to approach it. 1) apply to a big company for accounting and move around within that company after 2 or so years or 2) go to a smaller company for accounting/hybrid role where you’ll have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and get work experience in some finance/fpa tasks

I majored in finance and accounting. I’m a CPA and worked at EY audit for 3.5 years. Recently I started my finance role (M&A). Some of my audit experience could be counted as finance as well, so just depends on how you pivot it during the interview.

non-financial, so retail, health care, manufacturing, technology etc. my main clients were in health care and medical device manufacturing

I so badly wanted to get offer letter and resign from my company.

Now I have OL and serving notice, still I’m not happy and want to go for higher package and better offer.

Seems like, This is a never ending rat race, what do you guys do to relax? To have some quality time? I am somehow not able to enjoy my life and this hits me hard quite often.

Also it’s easy to see people earning double with same YOE. Do you guys feel the same?

Hello I am a current nutrition masters student that will be finished with my degree this July and am trying to get involved with healthcare/ tech consulting. I have done 4 years of research in various fields and have readily available skills. I have also worked in a private practice, volunteered my time for EMS, and worked in a hospital so I know healthcare from a different perspective. If anyone can refer me to a consulting job or to a recruiter that would be greatly appreciated!

I have an offer doing pretty much my same job at a smaller firm. It’s only a 6% base raise but they are giving me a bonus each year to make up for the amount my salary falls short of the salary number I gave them that it would take for me to leave. Would you take the offer?

Senior on a new engagement with new hires as staff plus an off shore team. I get IMs and emails all day from every direction and it’s getting overwhelming. It’s to the point where I feel like I can’t leave my computer even for a few minutes. I can’t get anything done during the day and I’m not sure what to do. Any advice for a worn out senior? I’m delegating and taking extra time to coach the staff but I still feel like I gotta do everything myself.
