Hi Applied to PwC Strategy& for a consultant role and havent heard back from a recuiter however, I received an email for a survey asking what am I looking for in the company in terms of their culture, values etc and what other companies I have applied to. Is this a typical process? Not sure if thats the step 1 in the process or I have been rejected. Any feed back is appreciated. I am graduating from Ohio State with an MBA and have 8 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance.
I have an offer from Walmart but I'm also interviewing at Meta. I'm midway through the Meta process but there's still a long way to go and I don't want to rush through it unprepared. Both are for a Data Scientist position. Any suggestions on how to deal with a situation like this? Walmart Facebook (Meta)

I’d network with former clerks from your district before using a recruiter. Most firms won’t want to pay a recruiter fee for brand-new associates.
Why use a recruiter? You should be able to get plenty of interviews just by sending a resume direct to firms. Your judge (especially if in NY/DC) probably has a network of people at firms who could hand your resume off to the recruitment department. Mine certainly did, and I’ve never had an easier time getting job offers.
I’m not sure the district I’m clerking in translates to the major city markets, and I’m also finding firms are hesitant to hire/interview laterals. Plus, from what I hear, COVID has thrown a wrench in hiring altogether at the moment.
Agree, recruiters don’t work with clerks but a reputable one will likely give you tips... resume, cover letter, names of recruiting managers. It was much easier pre - Covid
Most firms won’t hire clerks through recruiters. Happy to provide advice but a recruiter won’t be a great resource for actual job opportunities at this stage.
Hi! I have placed numerous judicial law clerks including those at the junior level. My LinkedIn profile has public recommendations from many of my law clerks. I’ve placed many coming out of the Eastern District of Texas for example. I’d be happy to put you in touch with these past candidates as recommendations if you wish.
