I’m a foreign (EU) lawyer with 10 years of experience. Recently moved to SF Bay Area. Doesn’t have CA bar yet. Looking for a contracts manager/specialist position in tech. What would you consider as reasonable compensation expectations?

I'm coming to the end of a contract term and being converted to FTE.

The offer was presented to me by the hiring manager and not HR/Recruiter. To me it is a lower base salary offer than expected, so I asked for info on the total compensation package (base, benefits, bonus, stock/rsu, etc.), which I was told about when they took me on under the contract with the intention to convert.

Hiring manager sends me an email with only standard benefits, no bonus, etc. Are these red flags?

Hey Friends! Looking for advice!

My wife is a Chartered Accountant with 7+ years of experience as credit manager, underwriting loans with some leading banks in India. She just got her EAD and is looking for jobs, open to switch profiles as well. Do you think she would fit in for any role here in Seattle, WA? She has been a star performer and promoted twice in the last 3 years. One problem is companies look for US experience which she does not have, we just moved here early this year.

Recruiter asked for proof of my last bonus to determine sign-on… I’m not being dishonest with my request (only asking to be made whole for the bonus money I’ll be leaving on the table at my current employer) and this sounds kinda illegal based on NY’s salary history ban- is it?

I've been working as a full stack developer for two years and our company has expanded a lot including my department.
We have 3 new graduates joining our team which we had advertised as a salary of £30k +
I feel that the new graduates are earning more than me.

Over the last 6 months I have been going above and beyond my job role.

How can I raise my concerns to my manager?
