I'm a little more than halfway done with a Systems Engineering Masters from a top school. I'm interested in seeing if this degree will help me at all. Almost feels like a title chase at this point.

What do you in a systems engineering masters?

smart

what kind of tech stacks are you learning about in the program? if it’s current stuff it’ll probably be applicable to a job.

Depends on you, you need to hustle to make it. I am going back for a masters in software engineering, hoping for the best since it ain’t cheap 😭

probably not worth the money if that’s the only reason you are doing it...

I need some advice. I got a new job back in may of this year. Very excited for a new opportunity to learn some new things and get a higher paycheck. I started and have gotten a few projects but they haven’t consistently been giving me hardly any work to do. I’m not resourced enough. I told my manager I have a lot of free time. I also work fully remote. I am feeling very unfulfilled and not sure what I should do next. I am very self motivated and want to make great work but not sure what to do.

A question for the more mature sales professionals - Has anyone here taken a significant amount of time (20+ years) off, or spent it in a different type of role altogether, and then tried to come back into sales? Is it like riding a bicycle, or has it changed so much that you’d have to essentially relearn what you’re doing?

What kind of Masters program would you recommend for someone hoping to make it into a senior leadership/executive role in Comms/PR? I have over 6 yrs of experience in Comms in public/private sector. However, I haven't had any formal education in Comms/Journalism which I have felt always put me at a disadvantage. My question is, is there an advantage of doing a Masters to improve my chances of getting into a leadership role? If so, would an MBA be better than a Masters in PR/Comms?
