How do you know after an interview reasons why NOT to take the job? I just came out of an interview and was already stressed with the potential job. Also started to miss my current gig
My anxiety has snowballed in the past month and I’m really struggling. If you think about that feeling of nervousness you feel when you’re about to walk into a job interview.. that’s how I feel all day every day. I’m suddenly nervous/anxious about EVERYTHING, even when I’m not thinking about anything. It’s to the point where last night I couldn’t fall asleep bc my heart wouldn’t stop racing in nervousness but there’s nothing I could/should have been nervous for. Has anyone else experienced this?
have been given an assignment as the next step in the interview process. need to build a campaign reco for one of the agency’s existing clients. anyone else get similar asks in the past? usually i’ve been given old briefs, which i’m comfortable with, but this is new work for a current problem... how would you approach?
Trying to exit out of PA as a senior with CPA, and I’m applying to FP&A, Sr. Accountant, and Sr. revenue accountant roles to cast my net wide. When the time comes, I’m not really sure which one I would chose. Nothing particularly interests me, and I’ve just been slowly inching forward in my life without a real direction. I feel like a college applicant again, trying to decide what my major will be. All I know is I’m exhausted and drained from role. How bad is taking a gap in my resume to gather
Strong consulting background at H/S. Applied for MBB NYC internship and got only 1 interview invite (failed to convert final round). Both career center and ex-MBB classmates are shocked. Any insights why others got more interviews than me?
Ladies, what's a good color suit to wear to an interview? Can the pieces be different colors (e.g. gray blazer, black pants, ankle boots)?
I need to take a day off to fly to a different city for a job interview next week. What do I tell my current job? Do I call in sick, request a personal day, etc?
Has anyone interviewed F2F recently (not over Zoom, but in person)? If so, did you and your interviewers wear a mask? Was there anything else different about "interviewing while COVID"?
Thoughts on Google’s Associate Account Strategist? Anyone done the interviews or is in the role? Any advice or insight? Google
When you’re applying to jobs or sending your portfolio to folks, is there a good way to ask for more specific, actionable feedback? I’ve had a few people say they really liked my spec work, but without specifics I don’t know which areas to improve or which elements to double down on. Is there a way to loop back and ask for someone to elaborate on their feedback or do you just move on and hope the next person goes more in-depth?
Been at D (legacy S&O) for ~ 6 wks now as an analyst and goal to be at MBB by EoY. 1) Where can I find resources on how “experienced” hire recruiting differs from campus hires? 2) What are some best practices/resources/tips for casing? Got 2 1st round interviews during college, and did well on behavioral, but was told my casing needed some work. I want to do anything in my power to close my ability gap. Thank you!
Has anyone's been following Martin Sorrell? I'm surprised how in all of his interviews he's able to recall all those revenue, market shares and GDP numbers.
Applying for b4 and need to give what I’m looking for regarding salary. Applying for S2 in chicago for a specialty tax (ITS/M&A) position. CPA only. Would saying my minimum base is $100k be reasonable
I just went through a final interview at a different firm and got an email saying the team I interviewed with had "very positive feedback". Is this a soft pass? We liked you but not enough?
Any thoughts on interviewing with 1.5-2 YOE in consulting, what level I would be coming in as at BCG? Wasn’t informed in my interview offer
Currently interviewing with Google and working with a recruiter in a specific function, is it frowned upon to keep applying to stuff if it’s relevant to my experience (outside recruiters function)....
Dinged after the final round of yet another interview. It’s hard to express with words how dejected I feel. I put my heart and soul into each of the SEVEN rounds I went through and prepared more than 20 hours for a final presentation just to be send a voicemail of my rejection. I don’t know how to move forward yet again with a horrible taste in my mouth
Question: why do you think the “side hustle” become such a key thing for recruiters/CDs when interviewing creatives?
Is the interview process to get into IBD harder or easier than top consulting firms like BCG/McKinsey/Bain? Where do the truly smart people work nowadays?

I am an Engineering lead for software development with exposure to product and project management functions, and started an MBA at m7. What are my best options to pursue a career in consulting?
I know titles are an issue in all industries... but can anyone help me understand the difference between the functions of HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, and HR Assistant?
Seemed to have slightly upset major stakeholder at large client. What is the best way to alleviate and politely roll off? The issue is that I will likely be staffed at this client in the future, and this guy is influential.
What should I expect to earn as a content strategist in NYC with 1.5 years of experience and an MBA?
I got laid off in January and have been trying to find a new job since. I keep making it to the phone interview and sometimes a second interview, but always get ghosted. It’s so disheartening. I have too much experience for an internship, and I have too little to be the top choice for copywriter roles. I know I’m a good writer, I know what I’m capable of, but it’s so exhausting trying to convince people. They always like my book but it’s never enough to get the gig. What can I do?
Hi Ladies! One of the women I work with closely and consider a friend is pregnant (~4 months) and experiencing back pain from sitting in her chair. I haven’t had to deal with this, but was there something that helped you? I don’t want to break the bank because she’s a bit senior to me, but she seems a bit uncomfortable. Recs?
Am I crazy for trying to switch firms? I am a second year and I love my firm and the people I work for are terrific. My previous practice group was terrible but the work and the people I’m with are great and so is the money (big law). The problem is that I’m not getting enough of it. I range between 110-130 billable hours per month and feel like I don’t deserve my salary. The partners I work with seem to love my work and insist that it’s fine but I have started feeling useless (continued)
More and more over the last year I've thought I needed to get out. I'm not miserable but I'm also not happy like I used to be. Once I get my manager bonus in April I'm out.
Have webcam interview that I am not super interested in but doing it for practice or see if i get a very good offer. Still nervous because I don’t want a rejection and shake my confidence for future
Currently in tech consulting. Currently having a good offer to exit to a Program Manager role at a tech company. Should I do it? Will it harm my chance of getting back to consulting, especially strategy consulting later? Should I still accept the Program Manager offer if I plan to go to B-school in 2 years to pivot to strategy consulting?
Does anyone have any study tips or can suggest a helpful study tool for the HRCI SPHR exam? I used BenchPrepHR to help me prep and took a few practice test. I took my exam last week and unfortunately did not pass. Any tips would be helpful to help me prepare to retake in a few months.

@Deloitte- Does anyone work as a Market strategy consultant within Strategic Growth Partnerships? I read through the functions of the role, but it's filled with all the buzzwords, therefore difficult to discern what the role involved. Should anyone be able to provide further clarity surrounding the day-to-day, that would be great!
