Yikes! Yeah those clients are what he didn’t want to begin with... but you’ll get the office assuming you’re meeting expectations, and you’ll come in every morning for the next 3 months to a green screen full of ACAT out messages

Congratulations!! Get ready to work for 18 hours a day for the next few months... it’s a lot easier to keep a client than it is to get a new one. You’re going to lose a bunch, but you’ll keep a bunch too.. just be bold and ask them try you out for six months to a year. If they stay that long, you’ll keep them. Good luck! Also, nice work on the asset gathering during your first months..

Leaving the firm and going to a competitor. Has anyone had experience with this? Are they going to take the goodknight clients from me? Are they going to let me have the office? Or bring someone else in. I’ve brought in 2 mil my first 3 months but don’t know how the region is going to handle it.

He gave you the assets because he didn’t want them. He won’t be trying to steal them. You likely will get the office and have a bloody battle to try and retain 20% of the clients. Good luck.

Does Deloitte use Zoom for all projects? Currently on a project with them, and my company and the client use Teams which is so much easier. Then Deloitte pops in with a zoom invite and makes me download a new app. Always trying to be painfully different.

I was curious about owning personal stocks at EY. If you are not part of audit and in supply chain, also located in southeast, would you still be restricted from owning Apple, Google, Amazon, … or not that strict for regular consulting employees? EY

Has consulting raised your expectation of income of people you date? I’m not sure how I’d date someone making like a teachers salary (sub 80k) since it would feel like im pulling most of the weight expense wise and they would never catch up

Is it ok to get personal in salary negotiations? For example, let the recruiter know that I’m a single parent supporting three young kids and two retired parents and I really need more money.

Hey all. My spouse and I had a hard time earlier this year due to me having an affair. We've worked through it and are in a much better place now. I will be traveling a couple weeks/mo starting soon. My partner hasn't mentioned any concerns, but I want to be proactive in putting our marriage first. For those of you who spend extended time away from your partner, how do you increase and foster trust while away?
