I'm a non-technical person, and looking at the current scenario, the demand for technical person is very high. Being in my late thirties, it is never easy to shift and learn new technologies that is in demand, even if I try, It wouldn't be easy to compete with technical people in the interview. Any good course/suggestion that can help me boost my career as non technical

A good entry point would be to search for QA roles which has like 70% Manual and 30% Automation involved by which I can say you can target any service company. Build yourself there and then switch to a 70% Automation role to earn better. It will give you a decent understanding of DSA concepts and these days for any kind of code related role you have to prepare yourself in DSA. Once you are able to apply yourself properly in your Automation role, you can pick up Backend/Frontend technologies and try to be a dev too or else you can move to framework design on QA side and you will be called SDET

I will suggest you to learn some BI tool and start with that, slowly you can start learning cloud technology and get few certifications, and you are in.

Can guide you a bit better if you share what kind of roles you are thinking of and what kinds of work you like. There's a lot of options in tech right now so you have to narrow down first

Certifications always help! Start slow since it's a learning curve, but I agree with others - Udemy is a really good place to start and develop your niche

You should look into program management and product management. Great need for it in tech wihtout having to be toooo technical in terms of skillsets. Depending on the role though you may need to be able to at least do some level of coding or understanding basic terminology.

Get rid of the idea that you are a "non-technical" person. Also the idea that you can't shift into a new position that you love. These perceptions will keep you from trying for a position that could be perfect for you. Focus first on the position that you can imagine developing in because ALL jobs will require constant learning, "tech" or not.

like

Depends on the things you're interested in. Data science or Data Analysis is a very good course.

For your info, I am in tech , but everyone know s that all highest paying jobs are Non technical only, whether it is, sales/marketing/management.
Yes tech jobs has good salary from starting itself, that too is not true for all. And most importantly, all tech jobs too lead to a non technical position itself.
If you aren't good in talking/negotiations, then you can try in tech otherwise learn other non tech skills and move on you will achieve some thing, which you can't do with Tech.

The normalization of "on hold" by the usual suspects. Had 6 interviews in past 4 months with D_itte Get the verbal offer from HR. Yay. Fast forward to following Monday. Get thanked for my complimentary followup sent post-final interview. 48hrs later, same recruiter (on speakerphone) tells me job is now hold and "you must be upset" and good luck in your search.

Tacky AF. Tell me I was rejected by the shadowy 5-person board or it was given to someone who wanted less. Just not this b.s.

After an interview this morning, I sent out what was SUPPOSED to be a thank you email. I really should have stepped away from my desk and put my full attention towards it, but instead I rushed through it and am now realizing I didn't even THANK HIM FOR HIS TIME OR THE OPPORTUNITY! Ugh.

Does it come off as entitled as I think it does?
