I'm a pregnant A3 and due in May 2018. Next year is my promotion year and I've had talks with my coach and am on track for senior promotion. Will being pregnant and taking maternity affect this?

No, and it is shameful that you would even have to ask that question. I certainly hope that your office hasn't given off that vibe. In addition, worrying about a work promotion when pregnant is ridiculous. Work so you can live a great life, don't live so you can do great at work, that's just sad. Oh, and congratulations!!! My daughter is trying 3 soon and is the best thing that ever happened to me!

like

If it does, you should sue.

like

No. Just don't let it happen again (joke).

like

No. My friend had her baby in November, took her 4 months, came back, and made Senior Manager. You're good. Congratulations, Mama Bear!

like

Will not impact you, if you truly are ready for promo. Congratulations, baby's are great!!! Enjoy maternity leave!

like

It shouldn't and congrats!

like

Wouldn't impact senior promotion. Manager it probably would at PwC

like

No

Congrats, OP! Should not affect you at all. However, I definitely understand if you are nervous about it. As a backup, you should document the conversations you’ve had with your coach regarding being on track for senior promotion. That way if something happens (like all off a sudden they say you are not on track and nothing performance wise caused it) you have a record to fall back on- just in case!

like

No. It shouldn't. Congratulations!!!

Should not affect promotion at all. I had 2 kids, one as a Senior and one as a Manager and was promoted with my class both times on schedule.

No I was pregnant in the busy season as an A2 and took maternity leave from July. I got early promoted.

How long is pwc paternity leave for dads?

EY4 6 weeks

Dang EY is 4 months..

Wow that sounds pretty nice. Maternity leave in total (short term disability for mom + paternity leave) is just 14 weeks here

deloitte is like 6 months if I'm not mistaken. I'll be shocked if pwc doesn't up theirs soon.

Nope. I got my promotion from A2 to S1 this year with them knowing I was pregnant. If you perform well that's all that matters.

Hi watch fam, watch noob here. My father in law’s Rolex is in pretty bad shape. He bought it brand new from a dealer in 2006. Where can I get it fixed for him in New York? Rolex store my best option or outside? Also, considering they can fix this, any idea about the value of this watch/model?
Thank you!

I lived in tampa in my early 20s and am now in my late 30s and looking to move back. One of the reason I left is because I felt I had too much energy for the city for a single young professional, but now husband is from there and we have a kid but we are both social people. Do you guys find it easy to meet interesting people and has the city gotten any more fun?

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

What’s a fair expectation for my first raise? I’m in-house at a publicly traded co with ~2500 employees. I’ve been doing litigation with the company for almost 3 yrs and have only had a 2% cost of living raise so far. Graduated in 2014. Base comp is $127.5k in the Philly area. I see salaries all over the place in this site and it’s hard to tell whether mine is competitive.
