I am SO good at pretending to work. Make sure your desk is messy, always look angry, and do a lot of head bobbing and you're golden

I have been there. It is actually more difficult to pretend to work then it is actually working.

I work remotely for a series A start up, TC is about $115K + equity. I work approximately 30hrs a week in a busy week, only meet with my boss and team once a week. I just got an offer for $140K + 4X the amount of equity I currently have… however, not sure it’s worth letting go of the incredible freedom and work life balance I currently have. Any thoughts to help make the decision?
PS: I love our product, but not as passionate about the other startup

Bought a car today. Finance Manager tried to get me to sign the Bill of Sale without reviewing the carfax report, despite it being mandated by the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act. She ultimately gave it to me after I insisted and contrary to her initial assurance, when I looked at it myself, the car had an open recall. Do I raise the concern with OMVIC (vehicle sales regulator) or am I just pissed off and should forget it?

I took adderall while I was studying for the bar and it really helped. I don’t have a prescription but am wondering if this likely means I have undiagnosed ADHD but don’t know how to bring this up to my doctor. I definitely have trouble focusing in general and have always been pretty dozey/aloof but have somehow gotten by and am now a third year associate who is doing okay without it. Do you think getting Aderall could help even though I’m doing fine? Maybe I’ll go from good associate to great

Have virtual interviews tomorrow and Friday (both with same company) - I know 150% if I got an offer, I would not accept. Cancel tomorrow and Friday interviews or no cancel and potentially get an offer and decline? Do you record your unbillable time? I have had conflicting responses. I have been told it's not good for efficiency calculations but others have told me if your still doing work let people know. For example, I get weird international stuff sometimes that not everyone gets (I think maybe? ) and I need to reread the 5471 rules or 8865 rules as I do the returns. I have been told not to bill for this but if I didn't have to spend time to do such things my billable hours would be higher

I started at a new firm this year in January. I had a billable goal that was given to me mid year of around 1750 house for the year. I am nowhere near that and definitely will not meet the goal. I had so many non billable hours I was forced to take when I first came in. I worked my ass off in busy season. At my previous firm I never fell short of hours as it was B4. This firm is mid sized and more focused on WLB. My question is how bad do you think this will affect my comp??
