Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

Have folks take notes for you. And ask them to send you once they are done
I’m not sure if you’re allowed to do this, but I have recorded important meetings that I drive. It helps me take detailed notes later on and replaying also makes me confident about everything discussed during the meeting.
Yup, wfh makes this a no brainer
If you’re a manager you should have some people you’re managing? Ask them to take notes?
I’m doing project management for our client. I’m the only consultant on the call - it feels weird to ask the client to take notes for me
Looks like best advice below is record meetings and take notes on screen.
make an agenda before the meeting, split into specfic topics to hit, have a template ready to fill out each section you discuss, have the action items box pre-filled so all you have to do is fill in the issue.
I prefer to take notes off screen and to show the agenda only on screen. It stops people from wasting time word smithing and allows me to take typing shortcuts that i correct or flesh out after the meeting.
