I’m a recent grad trying to start a career in clinical trials but haven’t had any luck in the job hunt. Last year I started applying but couldn’t find anything in time and had to get a job in retail, so I feel as though that turns jobs away from me. Any tips?

I think it all depends on where you're located as far as what jobs are available in clinical research; I'm seeing a few listed on the east and west coasts but nothing in between. When applying for those types of jobs, I'd probably leave the retail stuff off of your resume since that's unrelated to what you're going for. Good luck in your job search :)

Hi, I graduated 2021 September with barely any previous experience (only research project). I started off with CTA intern then moved to CTA and then CRA , all these happened within a year. So heads up! Don’t give up, I have many colleagues who are kinda fresh graduates too. Id say get whatever experience you can have at the moment (in clinical trial not retail), chances are you will get in the field soon!

What company do you work for that allowed you to move up from CTA to CRA so fast? I’m looking to break into the CRO/sponsor side and willing to start entry level

I would suggest having your resume proffesionally optimized. Sometimes a couple changes are all you need to get interviews and land a role.

Have you looked at their Careers page? They are hiring for summer associates at its LA location (geared towards Class of 2024 students) and have about 35 other positions available. Here's the link to its LA jobs: https://hl.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/External?locations=979d930e2eac0100f4fbd5335d820000 I hope you find job that fits your needs.

Sometimes, it is not enough to apply. You must go the extra step and chase a job in more ways. It can be by networking or asking for a referral.

Hello there, OP! Have you had anyone take a look at your resume? Many people ask for help with their resumes here on fishbowl all the time. I bet a lot of people here are more than willing to help you tailor your resume better.

I have had my resume professionally looked at a couple of times!

Not sure if this is the place, but I have a preliminary interview with Kearney later this week for a Manager position. I’ve been working remotely with BDO for a couple years now. I have an offer from tcs for Asst consultant at 25LPA which I got after stellar interviews, but it was a hard negotiation since my current pay was 17.5 And 25 was above TCS standards for most people at 9.8 YOE.

Now Cg has offered retention at 23 LPA to me.

Does anyone know if TCS will go for a further increase of I present them with counter offer i have and indicate that i am preferring retention.

Area: BI, DW and ETL.

Hey ladies, i have recently moved to Toronto and my background is R&D in a consumer goods industry. I had an excellent growing career in my field and I loved my job. In Toronto though, during my job hunt, I find very few jobs in the field and I'm starting to think now if moving to Toronto was a great idea after all.
It's such a niche field, there aren't many openings to begin with. I'm getting very demotivated. I'd love to hear your success stories! :(

Hi everyone! I'm in need of some advice.. I have a panel interview in a few days & I'm not sure what to do at this stage of the interview process. Up until now, I've only had initial interviews with recruiters or a 2nd round 1:1 with hiring managers & now I don't know what to expect. I've been told that they use the STAR method for answers & I'm researching that now, but a) what should I expect during this time & b) what are some questions typically asked at this stage? Thanks in advance!

We had an important project stakeholders meeting for which I prepared a presentation, delivered the presentation and answered some difficult questions in the Q&A. I ensured a few of the stakeholders that I'd follow up with some interesting links.
I prepared an email to follow up which was a collation of links, white papers in attachment etc which took the morning to put together. My colleague, who is a male who had initially set up the meeting and chaired it was to send the minutes after. (1)
