I’m a Recruiter looking to pivot into a Generalist role. I have 6 years of experience in HR started as a Hr Associate and then the rest strictly in recruitment. Any advice for remote generalist work out there?

Those who left, how did you find the right job for yourself and figure out what you wanted to do after the big4? I don’t want to be at the mercy of whatever job happens to appear on my LinkedIn, but I also don’t know what I want to do. The recruiters I talk to just kinda push me to the jobs they need to be filled, and I don’t know enough to tell them what type of jobs I specifically want.

Am I being paid competitively? I have been the Onboarding Sup for my HR dept for over a year now and I’m being paid the state min for salary, which for CA is 62,400. I have not gotten a merit raise since the last 2 January’s, the state raises the threshold for salary folks. My company says that was my raise. Is this right? I bring a background from the clinical operations of my company, scheduling, field work, and what the average employee faces. I want to look else where but I’m not sure.

Help. I have not dealt with an anti-trans employee before and I need help with approach. This employee compared a mental illness with being transgender, and referred to someone trans as "he/she/it" at least once.
