Tech consulting (cloud) offers. Which one to choose?
Accenture - Cloud Native Application Architect - 180K - 20K signon
Insight DI - Architect I - 167K base + 10% bonus - 5K sign on
Money & benefit wise acc. looks good but I am concerned about the WLB.
Also, I interviewed for Cloud native sr. architect. Recruiter came back with 'great feedback' but is now asking me to apply for application architect. It doesn't make any sense to me. Is that normal? It seems there was a goof up from recruiter

My employer is based in China, while I am in France. I remotely manage a global sales team, with team members from around the globe. They all work remotely as well.

Had an associate raise his voice to me today when I tried to give criticism on work. Not the first time but this time he said he is more of a careful lawyer than I am. It was bizarre because yes I don't research and double check everything because some things I know. I was calm but left the discussion when it was going no where. Later he apologized and blamed outside issues. I get outside problems but raising his voice really upset me. Thoughts?

Potty training tips? We just started with our 2.5yr old and have made 0 progress going on 4 days. He’s super smart and inquisitive and we probably made a mistake in having high expectations. He’s just super freaked out about the potty and just holds everything in.

I have this offer to be a senior sales manager that I am really keen to take up, but after finding out the work hours is horrendously long, I am thinking otherwise.

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
I see a lot of posts from people who are being put forward for interviews and comment on this forum about having concerns about whether what they are looking for will be achievable. My view is that salary should be discussed upfront and before 1st interview and expectations set so that the client and the candidate understand in advance each others expectations and that both can be met. I’m interested if their are thoughts on why you wouldn’t nail this down in advance. It guarantees no wasted time
How do I bring it to my current supervisor’s attention that I have received a job offer elsewhere that will pay me nearly $40,000 more? I don’t want to leave my current company, I enjoy my job and the people that I work with, but I do want to get more money out of my current position. Looking for advice on how to discuss this with my current boss to get more money.
Just found out 2 colleagues make more than me 4-8$ more! I have similar and more experience. I also handle the schedule and am considered the lead mri tech. How can I get what I am worth for the job I am doing?? Please help!
I recently learned that a new hire is making significantly more than me. I currently make $58K but am expecting a $10K raise soon. The new hire is making $78K. Their position does not have a bigger work load than me. If anything my position has a larger workload and is more crucial to the organization. I also helped fill in some gaps while we were trying to hire someone for this position. I plan to ask my boss for $80K. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!
Should you always counter an offer? If I receive an offer that is above my minimum acceptable salary, should I still counter?
It’s one thing daydreaming about leaving your company and getting that 20-50% raise offer to stay…it’s another when you actually resign and get that offer. Becomes a lot harder to turn away from.
I just received an offer from Citi for VP 130k base no sign on bonus, 2 YOE in banking and 7 YOE outside of banking. Is this a good deal? Location, FL.
I am a compliance analyst with a ton of responsibilities i do have minimal experience 1+year and i am making 55k. I’ve done market research and my positions average salary for no experience is around 58-60k I’ve been here for around 5months now. When is it appropriate to ask for a raise and how should i go about it. Also in our company’s mission statement they boast competitive pay.
I made a career pivot into a tech role, but it's a 6-month contract and I had to sacrifice my title. Several weeks in, my supervisors realized I'm capable and even mentioned bumping up my title soon. I'm guessing I can't negotiate my salary while still under contract (this is my first contract job). But is this something I can bring up if the role becomes FTE? Do salaries usually change drastically from contract to FT?
Okay so I’m frustrated and would appreciate any insight to the scenario below.
HR provides an initial offer.
I asked to elaborate on complete benefits package ie conferences, CEU reimbursement (no negotiation yet)
She needs to ask the CEO (not sure why she couldn’t ask the senior HR manager)
I state my salary expectations based on research, experience, education.
She has to talk to the CEO again to find out what is negotiable within the overall package
What’s going on? Ur job is to negotiate?
Hi everyone! It looks like I am very close to an offer letter after great interviews and being requested refferals. The role is QA Analyst with base pay between 60k-65k. My concern is how much can I get out of a really well known non profit organization? I am already planning to negotiate for 70k. Do you think/is is probable to be given a bonus start pay if asked? I know I have to try first to find out but how much is a good amount to ask if they are non profit to begin with?
I run a wealth management office for a financial planner who make upwards of $1m/year. I am fully licensed and sign a lot of the business where he is not registered. I recently set him up with a new FMO and am putting together all of the events/marketing, ECT.
I make a $75k plus 5% override on commission. What is fair compassion ?
For internal promotion with title increase... do you start with your pitch first or the $. My pitch will include market rate, value I'm bringing and will continue to bring with examples. Wondering if I should also include how we have been having a hard time filling positions so the market is in employee favor for my role as well as inflation? Should I go into granular detail on the math done to get to my #such as market average for my role the % increase I had for my last promotion etc
What is the salary range for a senior internal auditor. The position is for a health industry
What salary should I expect for IT Product Manager role at Fidelity Investments in DFW? I was told it would be a level 6 role.
Not a question but very discouraged. I asked for a 20% raise and they came back with “ and all of my years at (won’t disclose yet) I have never seen a 20% increase approved”. I’m thinking well can you ask for fuck sake… ugh so over this.
I’m currently being asked to undergo a background check. 9 years ago, I was caught for drinking underage while in college. I subsequently went through a diversion program. I’m now being asked whether Iv ever gone through a pre-trial diversion, which is what I went through. I don’t want to be penalized for something that happened 9 years ago. Advice? What should I do?
