Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

Better WLB
Rising Star
Given that commercial is cratering and we still have roughly 10% unemployment I’m actually kind of happy with gps
I’d probably rank GPS Strategy at Deloitte higher than PMO in Consulting anywhere.

I mean PMO isn’t the worst I’ve done it a lot. You can exit to a program manager type of position and a lot of the “Strategy” people at Deloitte are doing PMO right now lol
Chief
Please dear God do not do PMO
Commercial (Non PMO) > GPS non PMO > Switching jobs > death> PMO (GPS or commercial )

Less pay, less(perceived) prestige), usually better WLB, longer projects
FYI if ur in GPS, Deloitte makes it very hard to switch to commercial
Similar story switching from PDM to Consulting...what an ordeal.
Pay is probably ~10k less, but I think GPS has a a better culture, WLB, a more rewarding work
I was in the same scenario as you. Deloitte only recruits for GPS out of undergrad at DC colleges, so you’re out of luck. Try to get a commercial offer if you can, the pay is better (at the cost of WLB)
Ugh I know. That’s why I didn’t finish filling out the application and just applied to the commercial strategy analyst position on Deloitte’s website (not Handshake, our career platform at my school.)
The next person I hear talk about prestige is getting an uppercut
Im in Public Sector at GT. With client work, it’s about a 9-5, but usually do 8:30-5:30 with internal/BD work. The job stability is awesome, but I’m a bit bored by the pace and want more $. Planning to exit to financial services or a tech company
I didn’t know where I wanted to exit to either, except that I liked the idea of a business role within a tech company. You don’t need to have it all figured out, but networking is a great way to learn.
Is pay really less? Seems like a misconception. I am in federal practice making 87.5k straight out of undergrad

EY hires undergrad straight into the PMO practice?
EY also did a restructuring days before my internship started so I have little to no info on new names and everything. It’s just my understanding that TD&E is basically the same as PM.
Honestly, it really depends on the type of project you get on. I started in commercial and got extended 1 time in my project for a total of 2 years; I could not handle the remaining 6 months before the 2 years completion, and decided to leave to another firm.
