Have you considered Australia? Booming job market here.
Less than big tech but you can make 150k as a senior data engineer up to 200+ contracting. Much better quality of life in Australian cities than any American city in my opinion (safe, good public transport), better work life balance, 4 weeks minimum annual leave. Probably higher taxes but that pays for a lot better social cohesion and universal healthcare. Cost of living is hire too but your restaurant server will make $28 an hour.
God bless capitalism. It rewards those with drive, ambition and a desire to perform. It makes no sense to take money from those type of people and give it to those too lazy to get off of their couch.
Where there is a will there is a way. America and Italy are friends so getting the visa might be the best bet. If not they are going to rob you on your pay.
Yes it’s possible. A visa is to set foot in the US. If you stay in Italy you don’t need anything particular. You would probably become freelance and invoice the US company, and then pay Italian taxes on those revenues.
Kind of the same situation here, following up for advices. For what it's worth I'm looking for jobs in Germany, UK or Switzerland. Being European countries I guess it's a bit easier from a burocratic standpoint.
Switzerland pays the best, but it has high cost of living as well. After that Germany is maybe your best bet. Cost of living is moderate, and IT salaries are good.
