I agree with the post about corporate training. You could rationalize the transition and it can be a really lucrative business/position. I will add the caveat that it is more of a snowball effect, income-wise. You have to invest your time and resources on yourself initially and then once you’re foot is in the door you’re set.

Have you thought about transitioning over to corporate world doing either: training and development, or running a university programs? I know at WF a lot of our university programs have a education background and make 150k Plus.

Thank you! What is WF? Will consider both training and development!

Yup, I third the comments about working in corporate, specifically edtech as an educational consultant, instructional design, etc. Hell, even account management or partnerships? Depending on your experience, some companies would be open to those latter options.

Recruiters: How to articulate that I am capable of Sourcing for Technical roles coming from a healthcare background (3yrs)? Sourcing is a transferable skill. It takes passion, curiosity, and the ability to research to hunt for the right person for the role. I believe it can be done in any industry. However, it seems like companies would take a novice over someone with a different industry experience (after viewing several LI profiles) and I don't want to be boxed into my current industry.

Hey Everyone!
I’m coming up on one year of working in consulting post under grad in a financial services vertical. I know I want to transition to corporate strategy down the road, but don’t have much interest in financial service strategy. Should I try and switch into a more applicable practice such as M&A or operations? Will I be able to break into corporate strategy without any past experience in that industry? I want to avoid getting pigeonholed into FS, but with COVID, don’t want to leave.

Accepted an offer of employment with a mid-sized firm to begin in a couple of months. I’ve always wanted to shoot for big law but haven’t had the opportunity thus far. Overall, I accepted because I didn’t want to take the opportunity for granted in addition to the uncertainty with hiring due to covid. Would it be an issue to shoot for a big law opportunity in the interim? I know how this looks and sounds, so I definitely don’t want to set a precedent that I deal in bad faith.

Is RPA sales engineering a good career pivot now? Have been in Cloud SE for 5 years and it is getting mundane. Forget about the Data and AI, realistically majority of the work is around VM migration + RFP + Pricing + pushing commit 2x more than customer's current need, instead of really adding technical and business value to the customer.

RPA seems to be on the rise, there are certainly risk but the value + technology seems to be closer to reality. Love to hear more.
