Is there irony in the fact that HR and leadership of sales organizations ghost candidates? The very people that stress over prospects disappearing turn around and do the same thing to people they've interviewed 2, 3, or more times.

I'm 4 for 4 this month being ghosted for roles that I'm well qualified for and either advanced in the process or told I would be.

Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.

Looking for advice: been at my new job for about 6 months and absolutely hate it. I’m overworked and underpaid. I’ve been in operations for 5 years, most of that time in a Prime Brokerage Market risk support team and now moved into risk and settlements space. My roles have all been very analytical, strategic and excel modelling heavy. Any one have any ideas of interesting exit ops? Open to anything really - just struggling to find a viable exit.
