I’m a traveler and need to choose my next destination. I could accept positions in Chicago or Colorado Springs- I’ve never been to either. I think my living stipend would go further in Colorado but I’m worried it will be boring? Rent is so high in Chicago from what I’ve seen, but is it worth it for the experience?

Chicago weather is brutal, I would go to Colorado Springs.

I would agree although this winter is very odd. We haven’t been super cold no have we had much snow but it’s only almost Christmas. The worst is Jan-March

Agree with previous posters. You don’t want to live in Chicago, maybe just visit if that. Not worth the risk. Most suburbs are ok, just depends on exact location.

Chicago is quite crowded but the city itself is so nice. I think you will enjoy it there.

I live in the chicago suburbs. Where exactly in chicago is the assignment? Personally I would not take anything in chicago. It’s not safe. We are in the far west suburbs and I can’t remember the last time we went to ‘the city’. My uncle is retired chicago pd and would say the same. Just stay out. Now if your assignment is in the suburbs that would be better. Just depends where

Just venting:::
I had a interview for Human resources assistant position yesterday and while screening me. The lady mentioned that the position has already been filled as of yesterday but they still want to continue my screening for the future. I told her that we can continue if there are similar job opportunities open which there is another position but it has "ALSO" been filled as of today. I was just so irritated. I feel like it was just a waste of my time if I decided to going forward.

Something about me is both a curse and a blessing - I can't ignore what is not clear, logical, aligned, and simple. Even if that means that I have to work several minutes or hours extra on a document or an email. Things bother me if they aren't as expected. Unless I understand something clearly, I can't let it go. This is what helped me excel at studies. At work, my obsession makes it hard for people around me. If people complain about me, should I just let it go or change my approach?

Anyone know of an RN to BSN programs that do not require clinicals? It used to be this way but now most of the ones I come across, require clinicals. I work full time and been a nurse for over 10 years. I cannot see myself doing clinicals at this point in time..I am exhausted as it is.

Hello,

I am currently a Health Admin Fellow at a leading healthcare system. I am in a phase during my fellowship where I will have to start searching for a role within the system in the next 3 months.

I was wondering what kind of role would be best step forward for an admin fellow.

I was offered a project coordinator role but feel I should not accept the same without looking at other options. I aim to seek out a project manager role and was wondering if this would be the wrong step forward.

I manage programs at multiple hospital across the state. I’ve been doing this with much success for >10yrs (I’m the long standing top performer). When my boss was elevated to Sr Director over many depts, we were promised a manager role would open. That FTE was given to another dept.
