How’s Havas these days for creatives?
I’m an accounting major and have a developed interest for subjects like high level accounting, capital markets, and financial modeling. Currently interviewing for Banking but didn’t have much luck with Big 4 Spring recruiting. Big 4 firms have interesting roles that appeal to my interests, especially in advisory. Anyone’s two cents as to how to develop a strong track would be much appreciated EY KPMG Deloitte PwC Accenture
Will India ever move to a 4 day week?
Hey all, anyone have insight into LEK’s final round for Associates? I was told it would consist of 3x 30 min cases (quant, strategy, business logic). My first round quant was market sizing, and strategy was market entry so not sure if it will be the same, but also not sure what business logic consists of. Also, assuming it will be with Principals and Partners? Any other tips from current or former L.E.K. Consulting people, or anyone who’s gone through the process would be great!

Yes you should, it’ll look worse if you deliberately don’t tell them
Yes I plan on letting them know 100%, I’m just thinking of ways to approach this since it’s my first time encountering this situation

Yes, tell the manager. If it comes as a surprise that might be bad (for the outcome, or at least your impression on him/her). If he/she thinks it‘s manageable it shouldn’t be a big deal, if not than it‘s better you‘re not getting staffed on it and focus on recovery
I’m sure they’ll still put you on it, just assure them you’ll be ok to work
As long as you are proactive and let them know, it should be able to be worked out. Let whoever is managing it know that you’re requesting that time off.
Your health always takes priority. Give them a call and let them know you’re excited to be staffed on the project but have a surgery planned that will require to some time for recovery. From a PM perspective: Takes me longer than 2 weeks to find a good team member. If you get pushback or are dropped then consider it a blessing you don’t have to work with them for an extended period of time.
Just had this happen on one of my projects. The person didn’t let the people in charge of staffing the project know until right before he was supposed to start. Everyone was very annoyed and we ended up not staffing him on the project. Health obviously comes first, but let the team know asap.
Obviously it depends on the project, but for some projects depending on your role it might not work to be away during certain periods. Same reason I always communicate any planned vacations or other time off before getting staffed on a project
