IMO Great editing/production companies in Atlanta. Under 20k budget (this is client work, not AMC folks) and GO:
Trying to solve client requirements like:
Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?
If one is staffed on an international project (e.g. NYC to Paris), can you fly back and forth every week? What’s the standard with global staffing at places like McKinsey?
What do you do when the client starts to think you're also their personal assistant? Is this common behavior?
I'm definitely more productive remote. The office just provides too many opportunities for socializing. Plus I wouldn't feel ethical billing my client for my midday nap.
Advice/experiences please. About 5 weeks pregnant and feel like total trash... basically like I have a flu (but 99% sure I don’t, it’s just the pregnancy). Could I or should I try to take some sick days? It feels like that should be an option (esp now with covid and unlimited sick days) but I feel like I never hear of anyone doing this. I also don’t want to tell my work what the “sickness” is. I just finished a project so no one is relying on me right this second. What would you do?
On a federal project and the greatest challenge by far is dealing with the lowest cost technically acceptable contractors. The government just throws away money because they won't pay for good people
I’ve gone client side and looking for an agency that can help us produce paid social content, specifically videos. We have the footage already so more someone that can concept and has motion design capabilities. Any recos?
Decided that I’m leaving audit today. Trying to understand the full range of opportunities in forensics. Will have my CPA and CFE. So far, I understand that there are client-serving firms like FTI and then the B4 will have forensics arms as well. What are some other forensic accounting roles? Pros and cons? Better than audit? Honestly just looking to learn anything.
Formation, Beychella, Black is King... Can Beyonce make a project that doesn't bring tears to my eyes? 😭
McKinsey & Company Seoul office, any insights? Curious on the overall size, culture, types of work / client base, et cetera. Thanks
I have a client who only wants to use MS Teams to communicate to us. It is a nightmare for many reasons but not sure how to stop this.
Just started a new job/project a month ago. Is it a bad look if I take PTO Thu-Fri? Or is it expected as it’s spring/summer vacation time
Offer Evaluation: 1. Stay: wait for a few months to get a title raise to AD (with no 💸) 2. Leave: take a Director offer on the client side (with 60k more 💸), but it’s not your dream job/Industry
When bored in your project city...eat ice cream 🍦🍦🍦
How do I lead an engagement myself from start to finish? I’m up for promotion to Senior I and if someone put me on a smaller client and expected me to complete everything myself and to reach out if I had any questions I’m not sure where to begin.
If you're a company who employs alot of hourly workers for your billable hours at the client side, Which ATS and HRIS you all use?
For the Ms and SMs, How involved are you in the teams daily activities and review of client deliveries? My SM is very in the weeds. Wants daily status emails, wants to review everything, be on all client meetings, join team status calls and I think it’s excessive and borders being a micro mgr. They also think that I should be sending all client emails instead of the team lead under me. I don’t understand this thinking as when I was a team lead, I did all of that with minimal mgr oversight.
You cannot tie WLB to the company. It is project dependent! A big company will always have projects with both good WLB and bad, but I think it’s never tied to the company. Agree or disagree?
On a 767, exit row seats are great. On a 757, get the row 35 seats if upgrades don't work out. #ProTip
Hi everyone, this is a question on Health Spending Account. Does the UK have a health spending account like the US, where, similar to a Roth or ISA, the money you put in this account will not be taxed so long as you spend for health reasons. Through my company, we are using Vitality services for our healthcare and we have a Personal Health Fund, but we cannot more cash to it. And to make it more annoying, this money does not roll over to the next year. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Want to improve my verbal and written communication skills. I hear reading more would help but I don’t read as much as I used to. So I’m wondering what books would help with that? Should I just read books that tickle my fancy like suspense and true crime novels? Help! Welcome to all book recommendations.
Can I downgrade a CSR to a CSP?
23YO, saved 90K, 70k salary, been working for 1 year. Started investing in crypto and stocks a few months ago, maxing out 401k and Roth IRA. Any advice for investment or saving strategy?
How much can an affiliate marketer make in tech companies? This is for an entry level/associate role.
What would you do with 60k AA, 50k CSR, 50k AmEx, 150k SPG? Combine somehow to flight miles? Cash out? Want to go to New Zealand or Patagonia eventually, also have wedding trips coming up...
Systemwide upgrades on AA: They have to be on flights that say "American Airlines" when you buy them/can't be used for a partner like British Airways, right? Looking at a Europe trip, want to clarify
Amlaw 100- what’d your raise look like this year? I didn’t hit my hours, but was not far off, and got great performance reviews... then ended up with a 3% raise. Last year was a 7% raise
Does anyone know the comp/salary band for Capital one (Senior Associate, Risk management) 🥺🥺
Moms, need some advice. Husband and I have decided to try to get pregnant. I love the thought of having a baby but there is this nagging anxiety about life changing drastically & the thought of how good of a mom I will be. I don’t take well to big changes in life so knowing this is going to be physically & emotionally different is worrying me. Anyone been through this?
Switched from consulting (1.5 YOE) into a more technical role but now I’m at the same level as new grads. Still higher paid than consulting. Did I make a wrong move taking a step down?
If I received the Haas “Your Berkeley Haas Application is Complete” email a couple of weeks ago and haven’t received an interview invite yet… does that mean I got dinged?

Has anyone stayed in Federal consulting outside of the DC area? Fully remote? Just Curious if it is possible.
I know performers can expense jewelry and watches, can we expense such if we do public speaking or anything alike?
Planning to be in Mexico City for ~2 weeks at a super short notice for a mix of reasons. Couple of Qs: 1) Any recommended affordable on points Marriot hotel in a nice neighbourhood (was looking at AC Santa Fe and a couple of Courtyard hotels)? Would prefer something closer to sightseeing sites 2) Any day trips or overnight trips from Mexico City that you’d suggest? 3) Is USD accepted in most tourist places or is it relatively easy to exchange USD to MXN while I’m at Mexico City?
