New to consulting and the big 4 - have been extended on the same project since joining. The project does not align to the skills or experience I was hired for and has been extremely challenging due to the lack of project organization and proper staffing. I received ‘progressing towards level’ on my last engagement review. How do I get off this project that’s clearly not a fit before it negatively impacts my overall career at the firm?
2 hour meetings every day this week and the client still can't get the nomenclature for a god damned document straight.
Hello, looking for some advice please!
I am looking to stir my career into a Project Management role. I have some work experience but don't have the title. Is working towards a PMP certificate worth investing time and money or should I just apply for a project management role ?
Thank you in advance!
Does Deloitte puts clients documents in new H1b filing.I heard they don’t use client documents until and unless project is above 1 year ?
Hi partners. I’m considering an offer from a key client in my region. I’ve never been on a client engagement with them, but my practice in my region has traditionally done a fair amount of work(contd)
Hi folks. I am working for Wipro as a Network Administrator for a product based client. My current CTC is 10 lpa fixed with YOE 7 years. Am I underpaid? How much can I expect? I am good at Cisco and Fortigate with experience in security also.
I started a consulting job at an upper mid-tier firm back in May. I sat on the bench for a month before being onboarded onto client (FAANG client to be non-specific) and I am more than a month on this new client. There are about 5 other C/SC and a few Principals that do “check-ins” with the group. I have been assigned an ETL task (PySpark/Airflow) that will take me about 40 hours e2e to deploy. This is my assignment for the next 4 months. Most of my colleagues do not know code at all. Normal?
Whats the exit policy for new joiners? Can I Intimate the recruiter and leave the organisation? PF linking was initiated.
I joined just couple of weeks back. Will I be expected to serve 3 months notice? I am not tagged to any client project yet.

Right now I’m unhappy in my role due to bad management. I work in NYC at a beauty/CPG company. I have an opportunity to move to a new role internally which I am trying to make happen just to get some sanity. I have 6 years total experience (4 + as an IT project manager/ business analyst and 2 on as a Tech Product lead) but am considering if I should consider finding a new job. Any advice or recommendations for positions? And what salary range should be like for similar roles?

Client consulting manager salary?
I had a client force us to write a TV script and work Harrison Ford into it somehow, just so she could meet him. It was a Pharma spot and we already had a successful campaign.
Our client is not letting us come to their offices anymore because of coronavirus concerns....

Hi. I have just joined PwC India as a Sr. Analyst, from Campus. How many months/years of experience do I need before I can become an Associate?
Now I understand, it pretty much depends on my project and manager(s). Still, any good practices or suggestions to expedite the process?
Thanks a lot.
Just got hired by BCG as an experienced hire, consultant position. What should I expect in my first few weeks? Would i be staffed on a project immediately or would i have to spend some time going through mandatory trainings? I heard they have a training program in Chicago. Is it applicable for experienced hires as well? Boston Consulting Group

Whats the most overrated agency in ad land?
I want to hire 3 software developers and don't care about the location as long as there is a 4h overlap. I was thinking of approaching 3 different recruiting agencies from different locations, so that their talent pool doesn't overlap. I want to do this to speed up the process and pick the best-fit candidates from several locations. The only problem with this is the risk of wasting time with bad local recruiting agencies.
Anyone tried this before? is this a bad idea? Any tools to help with it?

- culture deck is something else: if they think they can do better than you, they will just let you go
- they think they’re the Yankees: if you’re batting.385, but they think there is someone out there who can bat .400, you’re going to get fired
- they will openly discuss at a meeting why you suck
- Reed Hastings' leadership style was once described as being "unencumbered by emotion". A VP once told him he's not a good listener and tends to be unempathetic.

I need some advice on whether or not to accept a job from my client.
I love the client work I do. It's in my field of expertise, I'm passionate about the work, and I get along well with the client team. I've also always wanted to work for the government in some capacity, and it's so hard to get in at a high level without Veteran or current federal employees preference.
However, I also love my firm. I love getting to work on different things and I feel so supported by my team.

Is it typical to get a year end raise, even if you are not getting promoted? For example, I’ve been at my current rank for one year and am close to next level. My value is higher since I am more experienced but still billed as a senior analyst. Is it reasonable to ask my employer for a raise? My reasoning as follows:
- My work quality has significantly improved since last year
- 90% utilized this year
- Current pay is below market value
- No harm in asking
