I'm an associate and I have a new hire analyst on our team that is ridiculously hot. My level of productivity has sharply dropped this past week. Thumbs up if you have a hottie on your team. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜˜

More like I have little patience for sex crazed coworkers who don't mind if others on the team pick up the slack.

Ironically my productivity goes up when I've got someone to impress.

Is your team hiring more hotties? Count me in . ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿป

I am sure perfect formatting skills would really impress girls

Love making to the final round with the hiring manager and then being told that โ€˜I donโ€™t have the depth of experience that the role called forโ€™. I told everyone that area wasnโ€™t my expertise and was told that it wasnโ€™t a problem. Way to waste my time. ๐Ÿ™„

I am considering leaving my current firm to go in-house for better hours (I love my firm but I think I have burned out.) However, after some digging, the in-house position seems pretty busy also and Iโ€™d likely be taking a pay cut of approx. $15-20K. Any thoughts on whether this is a worthwhile change? Any questions I should be asking about the potential new company to assess whether their definition of busy is different than my firmโ€™s definition of busy?

Iโ€™m approaching my 6 month mark at my current company and will be asking for a raise.

I am a software development project manager at a 60 person company but manage 13 developers. I currently make a $75k salary โ€” based on research it looks like I should be paid just over $100k but plan to ask for $90k. Any insight as to if this is a reasonable ask?

I am trying to set up my solo practice with no experience. It's a long story but...I was in the military, got out, went to law school on GI Bill while supporting a family, and poof here I am: old and working a full-time job completely unrelated to law. Where would you begin if you were going solo, had no database of documents, no experience, etc.? I graduated top of my class in 2 years (had to...had a family to support, needed to work) and am now getting my Tax LL.M from the NYU Executive program.

Hi. Iโ€™ve been working in group homes for eight years and Iโ€™m looking to transition out of the field. I am hoping to at least maintain my current pay and have similar benefits, but Iโ€™m at loss as to what to do. I have a lot of life experience but no degree and Iโ€™m 50 years old. I just canโ€™t do this kind of in-home work anymore, as itโ€™s emotionally and physically draining. Even though I love it to some degree, the nature of the job just burns people out. So.. ideas?

My partner (along with his team) has been laid off from an equity research role. He is on H1b visa and has until end of February to find a new job otherwise heโ€™ll have to leave the country. I would be very grateful if someone knows of any sell-/buyside investment analyst opportunities and can refer, please. Years of experience: 9yrs. Always been with II-ranked teams and twice voted rising star. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
