How long should you stay at one company before you bounce to another? I feel like I've plateaued in terms of salary.

Hello folks any guidance on how to renegotiate the offer, if I am currently holding a better offer from another company than the first one which has approached me.

What is the right statment and demand to make, I am more interested in the role offered by 1st company but the pay package of 2nd company is higher, and I want to try to renegotiate my package with the 1st one.

Also if the renegotiation doesn't work out and I still want to stick with 1st company, would that be fine with the HR?

Working for a Web3 startup as a consultant, they want to convert me to W2 as VP Product. I’d be W2 employee 3 or 4. I was making $75/hr as a contractor working ~45hrs/wk. and they want to offer $125k and 2.5% equity vested over 2 years. Need some insights on salary band for a Data Engineer..

Y. O. E = 7 years (all relevant)
Role = Data Engineer, Senior Consultant
Current ctc = 20.5 LPA (due for a revisal in a week, can expect 20% so say a 24.5 LPA)

However I feel this is still low when compared to market for the yoe and skillset.

Ps: will negotiate for an internal raise or look for switch based on This..
