I’m an engineer who has primarily done process engineering. I want to move to mfg/supply chain finance. Tips for courses or things I should be doing?

Wow, I am a supply chain consultant with an accounting degree, who has worked with multiple outsourcing arrangements and I had never heard of Supply Chain financing. Just googled and it seems cool as hell. Id love to hear from anybody who has experience with that.

Outside of what you already have from a process standpoint it seems accounting skills, specially managerial accounting (for cashflow management) and potentially cost accounting to understand were your cashflow is locked. And probably some basic finance skills to help your business cases.

@OP. I am exactly in the same boat. Process engineer in my pre-consulting life. What city are you based in? Perhaps we can exchange notes?

Hey! From an MBA program, would you rather take a Bain internship or a Product one at a non-FAANG tech company like Adobe / Uber / Indeed?

My wife and I are looking for a local nanny share. Due to the nature of the other couple’s work in the GOV, they want to ensure it’s payroll and not cash under table for the year contract. That sole point is turning away amazingly fit Nannie’s we’ve interviewed as apparently the cultural norm is to commit tax fraud. I’d get it if it were for a summer, but this is a year contract including PTO and holidays coming to roughly ~$25K annual.

Anyone deal with this before? Or know of a solution?

Hi folks,

Just a quick question. I have recieved the offer letter from PWC-SDC and have also accepted it. It had to be digitally signed and all so did that. After all this steps, do we get any confirmation mail or something?? Haven't received any such mail yet. However, in workday portal it is showing all green ticks.
Also what would be the next steps after this.?

Hey, another question for y’all. How should I reach out to a recruiter who offered me a full time position but I rejected for a better offer? At the time I was offered the position my main concern was lack of guidance/support from leadership. Now, a year later I have experience being in a role with limited over site (not as scary as I initially thought it would be) and feel confident I would excel in the role I rejected. How would you approach this situation? Thanks in advance!!

Thoughts: I am reviewing an appellate brief and I feel like it is utterly verbose, repetitive, and not quite easy to follow. My supervisor is a great brief writer but he’s off today and the senior attorney writing this brief is just not that great. There’s nothing I can really do about it because I’m a “paralegal,” but mann, I’m tempted to suggest some edits and/or actually take a crack at writing the first draft. She’s that type that doesn’t do well with youngies correcting her writing.
