GMAT scores are good for 5 years. Study hard for a month and take that.
You can do a fast pass and pass the CPA exam in two months. Do that.
Hang out with friends and family as much as possible.
Resign from job offer. Move to deserted island. Live life free from consulting.
See the effing world and don't worry about skills, savings, etc.
Try grabbing an internship/full time in the meantime. 9 months is a long time and you're going to get used to vacation mode, will take a while to build work ethic back up once you start in sept. I would try to find a job similar to what you're doing at EY and use that to develop some solid skills so that you can be a rockstar new grad. You will perform very well among your fellow new grads if you do this.
Also, travel.
Travel and meet other people traveling. Talk about politics, society, anything. Puts life into perspective. Sometimes when my project sucks I think back to the awesome people I've met and wish I was back there
Go to Asia. I went for two months- best choice ive made in years!
I was in the same situation as you. I requested for a January start date and I got it.
Take a couple of weeks vacation after you graduate to celebrate, then get back on the saddle and learn some skills that you can apply to your new job at EY. Right before you start your job take a month of and enjoy life! 😉
