I’m applying in round 2 - if the people who were to write my reference letters at my firm just quit, can they still write it? I wasn’t expecting this and don’t think I would be ok asking anyone else

Yes, use the optional “essay” space to note why your recommenders don’t include your current direct supervisor. Using an email from another company or a personal email just means they’ll need to do more to verify this person’s connection to you and your work hist so make it easy for then

I don’t see an issue with that. Keep in mind, most application portals do ask you to put a corporate email address for your recommenders though. I don’t see why the email needs to match your company - if you still seem uncomfortable consider writing that in the optional additional information space

Had an interview with a TINY firm. Pretty much one partner and one associate(that i would replace as they are moving). Partner said PY they made 900k. He then says if you do 20% of the clients for 180k you tell me how much you want of that 180k. Okay so how do i say i want at least half of that when i have 1.5 years experience.... current associate said he made 40k year one and 50k year two...soemthing doesn’t add up???

Working from home with 2 kids didn’t really hit me until I had to start picking up slack at work. I had found a good balance. But now I find I’m short with my older kid, house chores have gone undone, or work suffers. I had a review recently and I’m well received but the window for a raise or promotion has passed and they will look into it during the next open window (continued)
