How do Big 4 Experienced Hire interviews differ from fresh graduate interviews? Hoping to transition from a boutique firm I joined after college to the Big 4. Interviewed with MBB during school, however, not sure what to expect as an Experienced Hire. YOE 4, Midwest LCOL. Reason: great pay and WLB, but, not challenged and little upwards trajectory.
Someone is conducting a job interview during breakfast in the Marriott lounge. Everyone can hear the questions/answers. It's for a sales job. This is weird.
Any tips and tricks on PE interview model exams? Concepts and structure is there, but what strategies can you employ to be as efficient as possible when building under the tight timelines?
Do people send thank you notes to interviewers right after interviewing? Have an interview coming up but don’t have everyone’s emails. I was taught to do this. Is this expected?
I interviewed at an agency a year ago but didn’t get the job. I submitted a cover letter with a sort of unique intro they have a new opening. Should I use the same cover letter into or change it?
Great I had a panic attack during an interview. At least it was over the phone and I could fake a cough to give me time to recover. Wtf universe.
Is a tie necessary for a virtual interview with big 4 or will a shirt and jacket suffice?
Would you say it’s become common to get a 221 (g) administrative processing during h1 b visa stamping interviews these days? Or, is this something that happens only occasionally?
[HBS] Rejected and didn't get invited to interview. Will Harvard offer me the option of getting feedback (in one year) or is that only available for the applicants who were invited to the interview?
2 years into Salesforce consulting and feel like I haven’t learned any real skills. Anybody else on the same wave? It’s depressing honestly getting told I don’t have enough experience when I interview at other companies.
Hi everyone, I have 5 YOE and skill set of ETL, Oracle fusion cloud, Pl/SQL and BI tools including Sap BODS, OBIEE and BI Publisher. I am currently sitting at a package of approximately 6 LPA and I will start looking for interviews. Can you please suggest what are the market standards for my level at present, how much should I ask and settle for ?
Google fish - I am currently working on my take home case for an interview on Monday for an S&O role. I have 48 hours to complete it. What’s the expectation in terms of how many slides and how fleshed out my answer should be?
When your number 1 company gives you an interview right after you receive an offer from your number 2 company...has anyone encountered this? How do you push the date back?
Anyone with experience interviewing for EQT?
Another final round interview today that I thought went really well. Time to constantly check my phone and email and not get any work done / get my hopes up...
What are red flags you try to identify about a role when interviewing and how? Feels like I'm missing flags ppl sometimes mention here but not sure how to assess indirectly.
Can someone please share case interview/ and power day product design case tips and compensation range at Capital One for PM role. TIA
I have faced technical round interview for Infosys yesterday. As I have observed most companies don't send the mail whether if you have been selected or not, Do Infosys send the mail. If no, then in how many days we will get to know about next round or hr round?
Not in GPS, but I do get the emails from Dan Helfich and I just want to say he seems like a helluva leader. He comes across as authentic and genuinely invested in diversity and well being of his ppl.
How would you make the business case for adding more diversity to the workforce. I think we take it as a given that people will support this, but some people need to see $$ and #s to be moved.
We are having difficulty with managing employee absences. Most seem as if they don’t care about termination. What have others done to motivate hourly employees to come to work? We have changed schedules, offered perfect attendance bonuses, replaced the points system, etc.
So I typically don’t answer the EEO questions at the end of applications that ask for race and gender. Lately I’ve noticed companies following up via email for this information after I submit the application. Am I the only one who does this? Does it even matter? Any thoughts on the follow up emails asking for the information after the application has already been submitted?
Hey folks. Any suggestions for an immigration lawyer in Chicago. Wish to do a consultation about the different possibilities on my visa status.
For those who have roommates and contracted covid, how did you and your roommate(s) dealt with the situation sharing an apt? Did everyone just end up with covid? Looking for tips/tricks and how long the whole process took.
Hey guys! Has anyone made the pivot from Merchandising to Project Management? I’d love to chat as it is something I am looking to do. Thanks! :)
I feel terrible for seniors/elderly trying to get Covid vaccine appts online. I am splitting my time living between Florida and Illinois and signing up for the vaccine in either state is a nightmare for people who are not very computer savvy. I have been helping seniors who had problems figuring it out. If you have the time, reach out and help others. I have seen immense relief and a weight lifted when people get an appointment. Plus, helping others makes you feel good! 💪
Imagine for a moment that all strategic consulting firms in the region would have consultants work no later than 9pm. Do you think the quality of the output would decrease? Or maybe the pricing the client is willing to pay would be lower? Or perhaps nothing would happen? I am thinking whether we work long hours because it’s by now part of work approach and culture or because we need to. (Personal experience: in London for my same firm I used to work much less and the output was great…)
Deloitte Fish- on the comp statement does anyone else's new "bonus potential at current level" just say "performance based"? Usually we're given a range (e.g, 0-12%).
When is it time to go client side from agency? I’m not looking for a new role but a contact has a contract to full time placement that is for a stable company and sounds like a significant pay raise. My current agency has good benefits, I liked the work pre-covid. Now raises and promotions are paused, and they’re very hesitant to hire with no end in sight. I’m not sure it’s worth it to hang around.
Was told I’d only have one round (4 interviews), each split 50/50 on case/behavioral. This is for an Associate position and will be interviewing with AP/P/SP level. Is this typical? Since I see most people have multiple rounds.
How do you expense room service for a meal? It seems like it would just increase the hotel bill in the expense buffer.
Are there any Big 4 or middle market firms that have national tax/policy (WNTS, NTS, etc.) practices that won’t work you to death?
Weird combination of de-facto self-promotion under poor guise of advertising Becker’s products PLUS humble-brag of winning the EWS award. Gotta love it!
Lmao about all of the liberals losing their minds. Guys, if Either party had put up a decent candidate, this wouldn't haven even been a contest. Let's not kid ourselves about the alternative.
