One of the biggest unsubstantiated myths is that firms provide great training. They dont. They have juniors doing menial, often times not even legal work that is far removed from the core issues driving the litigation. Also, a lot of partners didn’t rise through the ranks because they were necessarily the best lawyers in their assoc class. It’s not clear you’d even benefit that much from their supervision. You’ll learn a tremendous amount from being at an org that entrusts you with a lot of responsibility. On the other hand, I think there is always a concern that the org will be so thinly staffed that there won’t be adequate review and feedback of your work product. You might need to be proactive about seeking out feedback from lawyers that you respect at your org. Congrats on the new job!

Join NELA.org and your local employment law association and you'll get all the training you need! They have amazing CLEs and everyone has a common goal to stop employers from taking advantage of workers. I'm not sure if there is a message option here, but feel free to reach out if you want to talk more.

As I don't want to work in US or UK Shift, due to some Personal Reason.

Hi Fishes,

I will be joining @Infosys consulting within a month. The CTC offered to me has a superannuation component attached to it and it is significant. The recruiter however mentioned that it is possible to reduce the amount of superannuation component from retiral section and add it to the in-hand part. As the interview went well.

How much time they will take to give the feedback as we have a long weekend now

Thanks
