Stretch is a risk but with it comes reward
Took a very big stretch role earlier this year. Explicitly emailed the partner upfront about my gaps in skill sets and set up a touch base meeting after two weeks to assess situation . First week was tough but became quite easy from then on. Ended up learning a lot which was the biggest takeaway for me. It also improved my self confidence.
If someone else has more confidence in you than you do, you're just underestimating yourself, go for it!

Ej1 said the guy from EJ, how ironic
I thought this was a place for financial advisors. I'm not trying to be a dick I'm just wondering how diverse the work experience is. I don't want advise on asset allocation from some dude that gets coffee for everyone, and thinks he knows.
Better to regret the things you've done thank the things you haven't done.
If it were easy.......
Just curious, what’s your current role and what would you move to? I always wonder about upward mobility in our industry .
If not you, then who?
Fa1 dude that is such a sick burn. I hope you enjoy your life of slinging equity indexed annuities.
