How can I pivot from working as an ad agency art director to a commercial director/DP? I’m trying to get on as much commercial production experience as possible in my current role to build up experience. I’m also doing a lot of side projects - I have a couple shorts in some no name festivals and am getting better on each project. My original thought was to work my way up to Creative Director and pivot from there but I’m not sure if that’s the correct route. Any advice is appreciated!!
How to select companies I have offer from capgemini,CTS,Mindtree? Packages are almost same .I have 5yrs of Experience in .net technology
Newbie here! I work for a non-profit. Which some of you know makes me the marketing department, creative team, PR rep, and so much more. I am very UNDER PAID. I’ve know this for a while but stuck it out because I am getting great experience, my co-workers are wonderful people, and most recently, the board of directors have decided to increase everyone’s pay…
My next evaluation (very soon) will reveal what they have decided. I was not asked what I think I should be paid. What should I be paid?
Does anyone want to get dinner tonight 🧐
I’ve been getting invaluable experience at a boutique litigation firm. The only things is, the firm hasn’t evolved with work culture. The official policy is that everyone WFH one day each week with no choice of which day. Sometimes I’ll work from home more than one day a week and when I do, I feel paranoid because when I’m in the office, the partners will “walk the halls.” I would appreciate more flexibility and have a big law interview scheduled. Is this worth leaving? Btw, I’m a first year.

Trying to jump from mid to senior level. Any interview tips? What do you think are the main differences with the step up? I have about 5 years experience.
My direct report is absolutely imploding, and I don’t know what to do. This is her first job out of college and she doesn’t ask questions, she doesn’t tell me when she has too much on her plate - she just lets deadlines quietly slide and hopes nobody notices.
I’ve had convos with her to get a sense of her working style, I’ve even told her that I will gladly take things off her plate - but she never lets me know until it’s too late. Has anybody had any success in turning things around?
Don't we know it. 🙃 BIPOC, hands up!
What’s the best way to get connected with a talent agency to help find a new role as a creative? Any favorites that you’ve worked with?
Too close for comfort
In what role do you become a real-deal expert in marketing? Whether agency or in-house. I know it’s not that black and white but I want to pivot from strictly copywriting to something else. Currently with a small agency but next year I’m gonna start looking around.
I’ve been trying to get a promotion/raise since a few months ago, where I’m at doesn’t have formal reviews so I’ve been setting up meetings with my GCDs and the talent director to subtly hint that I would like to get to that next level and ask what they needed to see from me, the CCO has also mentioned that I’m on the list but it’s been a couple months since and nothing still. I don’t want to come off pushy but also don’t want to be led on, should I bring it up again or just start looking?
My agency is on the rise, but I personally haven’t made anything I’m proud of in a year. Should I stick it out or try another agency?

Anyone else feeling dizzy from the barrage of emails from every single school employee over communicating to make us feel more assured? It’s a lot. Or maybe it’s just me thinking everything is a lot. I miss actually having a summer! End vent… thnx for listening!
Is it possible to pursue 2 different paths at the same time? I'm a copywriter for 7 years and I'd love to be a sign language interpreter. The thing is, in my country, interpreters aren't exactly valued so the pay grade is really low and it's usually freelance basis. Any advice/experience on juggling 2 things at the same time?
I am a seasoned AD and am considering a VP Account Supervisor position but feel like I may be loosing earned value leaving the title “Director” even though it is a VP Position. Am I overreacting?
Ladies, it’s review season coming up and I want to get promoted to VP. Been at my place for a year working on a top tier brand and have been performing above my level since day 1. Any tips for me?

Can I take a break? Feeling burnout and overwhelmed in taking responsibility so fast 😪
Went straight into ad agency work after college, 2 years into it and might be promoted soon. Though it’s a privilege, I’m really unmotivated and don’t look forward to work or finding a new job.
Thinking if I don’t pause now, I won’t be able to take it when I’m older and have more responsibilities.
Wiser seasoned folks, what should I consider in my decision?
I am in-house (not agency), but I really like one of our account contacts at the agency we use and would love to try to recruit her, but am feeling like maybe this is unethical?? We gave notice to the agency in Dec that we’re taking everything in-house in Apr.
On the other end of a job where, despite my best efforts, I’m really unhappy with the quality of work I was given. I kept thinking if I pushed and proved myself I would get to do the work the “boys’ club” got to do - TV! broadcast! experiential! 360 campaigns! All of which I know I could be amazing at. Instead I got meh work for years. But I want to stay positive. This new stage of my career is exciting! So now - how do I go after all the experience I want?
