A recruiter called and said I am a final candidate for a role I’ve been interviewing for. They told me they are thinking mid to low $60ks but when I originally spoke to them, they gave me a range of $58-$68k. Then they asked me what my salary expectations were and I was transparent and told them for the role and my experience $68-$80k was the range considering the role is essentially 3 jobs in 1. Currently in TCS basic is low around 20-25% of your salary.

As per the proposed new wage rules, basic should be 50% of package. So this will eventually increase Gratuity of long timer TCS.

In a case, if my Gratuity stands at 1 Lakh say, with new wage rules it will be 2.5 Lakhs.. Is my understanding correct? Will the company pay from their pocket for this?

I was offered an administrative position after I was officially offered the position, I asked if it was possible to negotiate the compensation. I was told that I’ve agreed to the compensation when I applied. My response was that if my 12 years of experience was considered. I was told the compensation team was gonna be contacted and rapidly ended the call. I followed up with an email, Is being 2 days with no response. Should I move on?

Hey! I work in tech (4YOE) and I switched to consulting (will be joining in Sep). Background for the question: I have a bonus system with my current employer that consists of 6-12% of my base depending on performance (I always got the maximum 12%).

I’ve been a general manager for a convenience store for almost 2 years now. I have raised profit after variable expenses by 13% compared to last year, and exceeding budgets in almost every category except for turnover. I got an 11% raise last year, but still only make $55k. My store profits about 17k a month on inside sales, and 160k a month in fuel. I think I deserve more, but I don’t know how to ask for it, and don’t know how to begin a job search aside from indeed. I work at a privately insured addiction treatment facility. My hourly wage is $20/hr. I wanted to move up in position with this company but they already had someone in that position currently. I went to them with a solution that would resolve a couple issues within the current staff and put me into a higher position/supervisor role. They agreed that having me in this role would solve the issues and also that I would be able to handle the responsibility that comes with it. They only gave me $2/hr

I am a newly promoted supervisor who has been with my company for 3 years. The promotion came with a salary increase & I was happy about that.

However, since in my new role I have come to discover that people I am now overseeing have a higher pay rate than I do. Some have been with the company longer than I have, some have not.

After increasing my fixed salary in Spring, the company is announcing that comes January, they will drop my fixed salary by 15% keeping my total targeted compensation at the same level but with a bigger % of variable « bonus ». Interview went well, Total 7 ppl interviewed me. I accepted offer verbally. Then I got promoted and I shared that to recruiter and my current compensation and offer are same. I shared my difficulty to recruiter as it will be a lateral move. He said he will get back to me in 1 day. Its been a week I haven't heard back.
