I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? I lateraled after two years of bad reviews and failing to be promoted to the next class year at the firm I summered at. When I lateraled, I was brought on at the class year that matched my graduation year but was unsure if I had what it took to be a biglaw attorney. I had my annual review yesterday and was promoted (and received nothing but positive feedback). Sometimes it isn't you.

Hello, I just had to vent a little and maybe ask for your opinion. So I’ve been working at my job for four years now and I’ve never gotten a promotion. On top of this, I do extra duties that my coworkers don’t do and struggle with the work load. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of and am not sure what to do.
