Anyone know of any places hiring in Anchorage, AK that won't completly write me off as a potentional canidate due to a background check? I've been in customer service/retail sales for 20+ years now in many different industries and I'm great at it. Unfortunately my one mistake I made while helping in-laws and supporting my family is biting me in the ass. Seems like every job I'm a perfect fit for says no once they go on CourtView without letting me even explain why I have what's there.

I won’t be actively looking, but there’s one company that’ll open recruitment in the spring semester and I really really want to apply and pursue that position. Please help, any advice or drop your personal experiences

I had a hiring manager at JPM reach out for a Commercial PM role (VP role that’s almost exact same role as my current role). Recently used a couple outside offers to get my firm to raise base comp to 130k+20k bonus.

I know we're a lax industry in terms of social norms, but some of our younger employees don't seem to get the basics of acknowledging seniority. They'll make inappropriate jokes and question their assignments. Am I just outdated or should I discipline them?

How do y’all deal with people at work who are stuck on stupid? Like they have no idea what they’re talking about and they REFUSE to learn. It’s like they have a god complex or something even with proof, maybe bc of their tenure at the company? Even if there’s valid data backing up that they’re wrong. Maybe it’s bc I’m a type 8 enneagram, but it frustrates the hell out of me!
So any advice would be lovely :)
I have a speech impediment and can't do presentations very well; my employees think this counts as preferential treatment. I would LOVE to be rid of this but it's an actual disability and I don't think anyone really understands that

I’m currently interviewing for a Digital Marketing Manager position at PGIM and the max base salary they’re willing to offer is $130,000. Seems a bit low to me. I currently live in NYC and have 6 YOE in Marketing. Office is in Newark, NJ. Is this the norm?
Hi All! I need some help. I got recently laid off and I am going to start interviewing for roles soon. Should I tell recruiter that I’m not in the company anymore? If so, what should I say? (I got fired due to my performance, but my manager set me up for failure from the beginning, aka toxic leader).
Also, should I update my LinkedIn so that recruiters know I’m open for work?
How do you make your tradeshow booths inviting and interesting on a shoestring budget? We have a nice, nothing out of the norm, backdrop, our set up is properly branded.
Swag is hard to justify budget for, so we have pens and cool telescopic flashlights we give to people who fit our ideal customer profile or at least have a meaningful interaction with us.

Three job interviews with a company, last one creating a marketing plan and presenting to marketing VP. I received good feedback from him. Three days later recruiter wants to give me a call and “give an update”. Schedules it after 2 days. This morning cancels last minute as they are having “internal discussions”. I’m really annoyed and tired. Thoughts?

When interviewing for my position as an art director, I was told I would be assigned to a project that felt like it was made for me. I've been hired and the project has been assigned to someone else. I am upset because I only took this job because of that opportunity.
Is it just me, or do an overwhelming amount of businesses undervalue digital marketing services? It’s almost disrespectful how often I get lowballed.
I joined an agency about 2 months ago and every single day I get more responsibilities, to the point that I don't even know what my actual job title is. I'm frustrated, to say the least.
Have you interviewed for a job where you haven’t even spoken to the recruiter? At this company I’ve dealt with the interview scheduler, hiring manager and even a panel for my second interview with the director and another senior manager…but no recruiter.
I reached out, but still nothing…so I don’t even know the real comp, benefits or specifics of this job. Has anyone encountered this? I’m thinking I’d speak to the recruiter once an offer is made.
Hi everyone, I have around 6-years background in being a marketing/business generalist, then I changed into a specialist role at a tech company - I found that I'm more suited as a generalist roles.
Wanted to know what are some generalist roles available in marketing/business that pays 70k+? Is being a marketing manager/director the only option? I'm based in Canada - or is gettinf work from a US company the only option?
