I'm considering leaving my current job for an offer to be chief of staff to a pretty big CEO, for a huge organization. I currently make 152k with great benefits and work for a smaller organization, so is it greedy that I think the proposed salary range for the new position should be higher? Including the job link below, they're offering between $125-140k - should I try to negotiate to higher than 152k?

If this opportunity aligns with your long-term goals, then it’s definitely worth considering! The experience you’ll gain could be invaluable. Keep in mind that the salary range could be at the upper end of their scale, depending on their budget. As a social service agency, their budget may vary.
Do you meet or exceed the preferred requirements for the role? If so, it’s worth negotiating. The worst they can say is no. Additionally, consider other factors such as flexibility, remote work options, commute time, office culture, workspace arrangements, and vacation policies. How do these compare to your current role? These aspects can significantly enhance the overall appeal of the position.
