I got an offer from PWC AC Bangalore is 21L fixed and WFH with joining date 15th Dec.
Now I got a promotional offer from Accenture of 16.6L fixed (with 25% hike) to CL9 which will be effective from 1st Dec.

I was worried about this too, but when I looked into it, it says that they try to not show recruiters from your company that you are looking but can’t guarantee. My plan was to just act like I didn’t know what the open to work feature was or how it got turned on if they ever asked about it being on (they haven’t).
I think it is far less awkward than you might imagine.
At a previous company (an old-school corporate company), my own manager saw that I had the open for work banner and asked me about it. I just said that I wanted to be contacted by recruiters so that I know the state of the job market and who is hiring, both for myself and to help other people I know, and also so that I can continuously evaluate my worth in the job market (which is all completely true). And they thought it was a brilliant idea. I would not be afraid of that conversation.
I believe they can see it but if they ask just play dumb (don’t think they would ask) but just in case. I wouldn’t let this deter you from looking for another role either - it’s totally your choice and they shouldn’t say anything anyways
I think you should be open about it and leave it public so that your employer brings it up and then you can have a discussion about it, actually. This will give you and your employer an opportunity to redeem each other’s professional relationship in an honest manner.
I would agree, you have to be careful of the consequences. Might be okay but can be perceived as unstable and bypassed for other opportunities.
Nothing bad could possibly happen in the unlikely scenario that a recruiter sees you’re open. What is he/she going to say or do? Tell your supervisor that you are open for opportunities? That is or should be encouraged in the first place! You should see your market value every now and then, that is the only thing that motivates you to develop without a stick. At least that is what i do. If I lack a certain experience or competency to secure an offer from a role that I could really love, I work on myself to become more relevant. This only benefits the status quo.

If your employer sees it then it really can only help you assuming you do a good job. Employers don’t want to lose employees, it’s that simple. When you communicate you are considering leaving the first question will why, then you can outline it. If it changes then great, if not, no big deal because you have options
My CEO is a passive aggressive toxic Asshole. If he saw on my LinkedIn that I was open and looking for jobs he would try to screw me before I left and hold back commissions… Places like my workplace that do not have an HR department or any governing bodies besides the two owners like to think that they are gods. Be careful.
I have never had a issue with this. You will have to do your own research for finding the right job.
A recruiter to LinkedIn is anyone who has a LinkedIn Recruiter or Recruiter Lite license (as opposed to a Sales Navigator license or other paid plans). The “Open to Work” label can be used as a search filter to find active vs passive candidates. Some recruiters may use this to potentially increase their response rates, but tbh, no decent recruiter would stop there. It’s not that meaningful.
And I’ve never heard of any talent acquisition team bothering to check if current employees are overtly looking elsewhere. Seems like it would be pure coincidence if this was brought up to you. If it did, I would be honest but quickly diffuse the question with a “shouldn’t everyone be curious about career opportunities?” type of response. Playing dumb seems silly, this is a setting that needs to be deliberately turned on by you alone. And if you really wanted to know your market value there are plenty of quicker and easier ways to figure it out versus putting that flag up and hoping that a recruiter both contacts you and actually provides any insight.
Anyone who has the recruiter seat on LI could see it. Depending on size of company, who has seats, etc. Some firms recruiters do notify HR if they see someone is open to work. However, some people always have open to work listed. The banner I assume is what you are worried about? Are your firms recruiters actively recruiting your role right now? If so, they will probably see- not sure what culture is like whether anyone will be notified, or if they will even care.
