ViHi is liberal af, you’ll be fine. Honestly if you’re anywhere ITP it’s going to be pretty progressive.
I live in Morningside! It is a predominantly white area but is progressive (vast majority Biden signs around here). We moved here in part because we feel more comfortable due to the area’s progressive nature. My partner and I are interracial (white & Asian-American) and have mixed race children. Have also heard great things about the schools. Happy to connect if helpful!
It’s Atlanta, literally the wealthiest city for black people in the world
Decatur City Schools (must be in Decatur city proper). Progressive enclave which is inside the perimeter (ITP) + very very highly rated schools
2nd for Decatur! It’s probably 10 minutes east of VaHi. But also love that area as well
I live in morningside and I am told the elementary schools are stellar. I’m Caucasian but I have heard/feel the area is very welcoming to all races. Another area you can look at is decatur. Happy to connect and I have a great recc for a real estate agent if you need one.
highlands and morningside are extremely progressive and diversity is embraced
Used to live in VaHi for 5 years, and I loved it sooo much! Morningside is amazing as well!!! None of those things will be an issue anywhere in ITP (inside the perimeter/urban areas inside I-285) ATL. So diverse/inclusive. Those neighborhoods are higher-priced, but if you can afford it, worth it, they are also vibrant, historic, diverse, eclectic, amazing, close to everything. Can’t think of a better city than ATL for black or mixed-race kids to grow up. I don’t know anything about the schools, but I think you’re fine. Highly in favor of this plan!! I treasured my time in that neighborhood ugh!
