If I don’t receive the role I would like to discuss staying with the organization and presenting a new job title to the CEO. I would like it to be VP of Finance or Director of Finance. Hi, my work laptop is a great one and it has some nice specs.But as usual,it has restrictions not allowing me to install softwares or connect harddrives.I want to install a software which is very resource heavy.The software is a paid one and I am ready to pay for the licence.But company IT does not allow to install software with personal licence in work pc.Is there any workaround? There is a good case for higher year end bonuses this year. All in comp is down in 2022 taking into account special bonuses last year. So unless PPP takes a real hit, I’d like to see a modest bonus increase. Doubt PPP is going to be down by that much (in many cases not at all) for the top 30 firms. And with firms trimming fat, that should mean higher bonuses for those that are left. Idk about the rest of you, but my firm feels as busy as ever (M&A).

How do you treat short term portion of deferred rent when your lease is in a period where the actual rent is less than the straight like rent (so basically early on in the lease period). When I’m calculating the next 12 months of deferred rent amortization, I actually get a debit balance for the short term piece because deferred rent will be going up, not down. Help?

Just made the switch from a government job to public accounting. Started my new job last week and feeling quite lost. Due to tax day I haven’t met any of my peer or partner yet (remote position) was given minimal direction as what to do with my time (an email with the location of training videos on some systems and topics) so I spent all week watching those.
