Helo everyone, I had an interview scheduled with Cognizant on last week of Jan 2022 but due to technical error in Verification code I couldn't join interview lobby. I reported the same to the HR and I was told the interview will be rescheduled. Now there's no update from the HR. Could you please guide me how can I proceed or any email address to which I can inform to take the rescheduling process further.
Thanks in advance
My job application status says shortlisted in Mindtree Portal after 3 round of technical interviews. The recruiter told me he will send an invite for the HR round (10-15 days back) But i am yet to receive any information from them.
Can someone from #Mindtree help me understand what process they follow for recruitment?

I mean, as someone approaching 40 and child free by choice? This is a major benefit that will never apply to me, that others get to take every couple years should they so choose. Plus all the other child care benefits that are provided. It would be nice to see new benefits that weren’t related to the breeders.
KPMG - That's a false equivalency because we don't choose for our family members to die, while we have established that for first world professionals, having a child absolutely is. There is no valid analysis to do there.
You know this reminded of SATC. The episode where Carrie is invited to her friend’s baby shower. And , when she thinks of how she would never get any of those gifts from her friends if she decides never to have a child. Like should there be a day for people like her to celebrate and get gifts too without having to have a child.
Nostalgic!!

Haha so true. Actually 3 of us (married with kids) were planning a girls weekend for our single friend’s 40th birthday. One of the women said something about how we should do something extra nice and get an expensive gift because this friend had gotten all of us wedding and baby gifts. I thought that was a thoughtful point! (Though I don’t feel strongly about the parental leave point - yes I took maternity leave but it wasn’t exactly all about me! - so if non-parents get leave without the baby, I want that too!! Ha).
I used to think I was smart saying stuff like this; then I had kids and now I realize what a jackass I was.
Kinda sounds like you found out how burdensome children are 🤣
For the parents here that are aggressively berating OP... I ask why?
What does it take away from you if single and childless individuals receive a leave benefit comparable to parental leave? OP isn't proposing that parental leave get cut or cease to exist, so really, why do you have a dog in that fight?
SM2 - so the parents are the intelligent pigs then? I’d agree with that.
We need the paternity to recover so that Jones’ doesn’t come back. You would want Jones’ to come back now would you? It’s in all our best interest that parents get time off.
Well parental leave is at is core a medical leave of absence. If you restate your question to replace parental leave with for example cancer treatment, the obvious answer within the confines of the purpose of medical leave is no. You do not get rewarded with extra time off because you don’t have cancer and folks with cancer need time off work to get treatment. Living well and healthy is it’s own reward 😂 but seriously the medical community is built around the idea that you focus only on getting sick people well not keeping healthy people well
Lmaooo I love this response this is it.
Paid unparental leave is offered at every firm. It’s called PTO
Gotta be all inclusive

Is the firm offering anything equivalent to rehab leave for those who choose not to become alcoholics? Or take narcotics?
There should be. But yes, you can get medical leave for inpatient care. I’ve had to take short term leave for mental health inpatient care, not drug related. I didn’t have to disclose why either, just that it was medical and hospital inpatient for extended period of time
Sabbatical is the closest thing
is there any food stamps for people who choose to work?
Haha I did too and was denied also, had to go hungry in college
I think it’s a fair question. Generally, when you’re childless and/or single, work becomes life and it’s easily to lose perspective and balance.
A sabbatical is probably the closest thing?
Those three weeks I got off for paternity leave weren’t even close to a vacation if that’s what you’re implying.
SA1 - OP isn't suggesting that you get any less parental leave. Why would it bother you if someone who didn't have kids get some similar type of leave? What does it take away from you?
The world is better off with your decision that's for sure
To all of those who feel jealous because they don't have kids and feel like those with kids get some benefit... good luck when you're 70 living in a country with no working age population to push the economy forward, protect our skies, play your favorite sport etc
Here’s another perspective to consider… in terms of expense to the company, much of the cost of paid maternity leave in most companies is covered by a short term disability policy that every employee is covered under. I assume your company likely pays to cover you under the same STD policy as those taking maternity leave. So in theory that benefit is already offered to you. You just need to endure a minor medical inconvenience comparable to birthing a human being in order to get those 6ish weeks off. For the other 6, just use your PTO. You’re pretty much situated exactly the same as those “taking advantage” of this benefit. It’s really just semantics.
If you are actually valuable to your firm, there really isn’t anything that enables a “leave” - PTO, child-relates or otherwise. If you are able to check out fully for something more than a week, you are ultimately viewed as fairly replaceable.
Lighten up folks. The OP is as ridiculous as my post.

My kids are 12,9,7 and I just started working at my current employer. I think they should offer me some additional leave since I’m done having kids and they didn’t have to cover my maternity leave.
Dude dont ask questions high 😂 I know its a Sunday ... just watch a movie and chill
So, if you choose to have kids at any point, would you sail through without any time off or would you expect a parental leave again?
Based on the announcement a few weeks ago, should everyone get a 50k subsidy - even if they aren’t undergoing gender reassignment procedures?
I know some employers give some type of leave if you have to go to rehab for drinking/other habits. So just start doing drugs I guess.
