Anyone here “overemployed”?
I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. If it makes any difference, I worked for AWS ProServe as an external SA in the past. Any insights / feedback appreciated.

They decided that choosing the right way to automate and fix processes was better than throwing RPA at the problem.
D1, wish we could sell that approach more often! RPA always just seems to me like paying the piper for massively accumulated tech debt, versus say, just having your APIs in a line...
From my experience, the two things that hold back RPA efforts from scaling are: 1) Support and clear vision from leadership and 2) Buy-in of IT.
There are many other factors, but without these two, RPA efforts are not going very far.

Groupon 1 - Definitely agree with your points above. A few others for why programs fail are:
- Focusing efforts solely on cost-reduction, without recognizing or taking advantage of a larger digital strategy that’s complimented by improving the customer experience
- Not engaging or demonstrating the value of RPA throughout the business units
OP, when the focus is on cost reduction, read cutting head count, the project will be an uphill challenge.
Fishbowl has an RPA bowl, check it out for additional information.
D1, I would argue that RPA can not only be the right way to fix some issues, this approach can be the best solution.
Where a process has been matured as much as possible and no tech solution exist, RPA offers a great alternative to keeping human workers.
