Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

I feel stuck
I texted the number; someone asks how you feel, what’s going on, asks if you’re alone, asks if you want to act on suicide, tries to reassure you, and then tells you to take a couple deep breaths. Then asks you if you feel better. Then they ask you if you’ve seen a doctor or provides resources
I did once. To be honest it was awkward, the person on the other end listened to me bawl, didn't guide the convo as much as I expected. I felt like I wrapped up the call myself because I didn't know what to talk about. Not sure what I expected but I'm sure all reps are different.

I feel like they have their hands tied in what they can do. They listen and suggest you seek professional help. It’s helpful in a pinch but after the call, you start to spiral again
I volunteered for 3 years in college at a suicide hotline- @accenture1 is right, we are a bit limited in what we’re allowed to say and do. Not supposed to provide guidance or therapy and more be a helpful, empathetic ear to listen to callers, and flag if truly a high risk situation. A big majority of callers are repeat callers who rely on the hotline for company- so folks are encouraged to call back constantly if it’s helpful/important for them
Ah that makes sense, the person I spoke with did sound young. What a tough job to volunteer for. Props to you!
I called and unpacked my thoughts. An elderly women with a southern accent was on the other line. It was comforting enough to get me to sleep when I was in a very bad spot. She called me a few days later and checked on me. The hopelessness has subsided a bit since our last talk so that gave me hope.

Yes I have and it was a mistake. It was a bunch of teens saying “I understand” and “that must be hard for you” like they’re reading from a script. You’d accomplish nothing calling one. It’s basically a referral service to a real doctor. Just go through your insurance.

Maybe 16 years ago. I was having a hard time realizing everyone at work had families and money and I came from abusive deadbeat family. I was enraged with jealousy, anger, anxiety, and felt suicidal. I knew I wasn’t going to kill myself, but I really needed someone to talk to. I called and explained it. They asked me if I was going to kill myself. I kept trying to explain myself but they basically hurried me off the phone because I wasn’t about to kill myself. It was a really low point, felt almost like they had a tone of “that’s life, you don’t have what they have get over it.”
