Why do people seem compelled to state their gender when talking about their finances? Genuinely curious.
SA1, let’s be real. The average man isn’t spending 1000 on bottle service, blow, and strippers. However, it is common for the average woman to spend $300/month on her hair services/products.

25f. Last year I made $74k and saved $19.5k towards 401k, $6k Roth IRA, and $5k towards market. Saved a lot because of the pandemic but my total expenses (including rent) were $25k in HCOL city. This year I’m making $120k with $30k expenses and doing the same with maxing retirement + putting any remainder into the market
Nice bump, did you pivot to tech?
75k in HCOL, 26F (graduated at 23 when I got my master degree), senior auditor, I saved 100k. I usually save average per year in the 20k-22k per year. I started saving when I was a student and an intern.

75K in MCOL, 2 years out of college. I save about 30% of gross income. I’ll probably go lower next year though cause I want to go on more vacations.
Does this include 401k?
When I first started I was making $65k, living at home, and maxing my 401k 😂
I did include 401k, would definitely be making it if I lived at home haha
24 made just over 82k. 64k from EY and the rest from side gig. Saved just over 49k. Maxed Roth 401k and Roth IRA and the rest in brokerage. Pandemic definitely made it easy to be pretty frugal but will try to keep expenses about the same this year
Amazing, keep it up!
24 in HCOL making 70k. Saved ~ 10k Roth 401k and 5k cash over a year. But feeling happy with lifestyle now so rolling 95% of comp increase coming into savings/investments
