I’m curious to see what the average pay for a campus recruiter in NYC is. I’m one year into this role, came in entry level, and already got promoted, but I want to make sure I’m getting fairly compensated. Any other recruiters here?

Came in at $55k plus a bonus package that was up to $70k. Almost 3 years into the job and my base is $63k and with bonuses, my potential is a little over $80k. With the virus this year, I’m probably not getting any bonuses. My job is campus recruiting and HR for our NYC office (split 50% between both).

Arrow Icon

What city? Also how do you get so much in bonuses? Are you in agency?

Arrow Icon

Worked at Deloitte in Campus Recruiting, most of our newer Camus recruiters made $60-73k (AZ, FL). I was a coordinator at the time. I always thought that was fairly low. At ACCN, I work in EH recruiting (unfortunately) and I make $72k with 3 years of total work experience.

@Deloitte 1–I REALLY love campus recruiting and am a lot more passionate about it. Plus, the project I got put on doesn’t have me recruiting the kind of talent that I’m interested in. Overall though, campus recruiting is where my passion lies.

I feel like you’ll get more responses if you post your comp. Otherwise it’s just you being like “I’m not giving anything. All of you tell me what you make so I can make my life better.”

Yes, had to do a quick google search 😬

Arrow Icon

Hey - I do 50% recruitment. 4 years in, $46k in the Dallas market. Now, you.

Arrow Icon

Yep, after a couple years, you’ll make back what you lost from not making OT anymore. Horray for being non-exempt

Arrow Icon

Not sure about NYC, but I make 75K in a low cost of living area. My role is 80% campus recruiting, 10% executive recruiting, and 10% HR (retention)

Arrow Icon

Hmm interesting. I know nothing about that industry so it’s nice getting other’s perspective

Arrow Icon

63k base in LA. Recruit for tax and audit. I’m also kinda thinking i’m getting below market. 1 year in, but took a paycut when I left client service which i was in beforehand for 2 years.

Arrow Icon

$70k base & bonus in Philadelphia for campus role.

Arrow Icon

NYC it should be low 70s to start. I’m not in NYC anymore but started my career there in campus recruiting at 75k. I guess I’m only one example though.

Arrow Icon

Yeah that’s low! But I’ve been offered that before in NYC and elsewhere. Campus recruiter salaries can range wildly. Stay in accounting or technology recruiting and you’re paid fairly. Elsewhere it’s a crap shoot

Arrow Icon

I started at 65k in 2015 in campus in chicago.

I worked with this superstar consultant (who happened to be black). Once project ended I moved to another very similar project where one more consultant was needed. I recommended the superstar consultant obviously because he would have killed it in that role. Middle aged white manager talked to him and said he wasn’t a good fit. Literally brought on another white consultant who just joined the firm instead. I’m fuming.

I’m curious how other firms are handling.

I bought a VERY expensive flight yesterday without even considering how I could have used my miles. Turns out I could have traded my Marriott points for miles and ended up with like 50k miles for British airways. Ive never used miles so I’m not sure what this ends up being when paying with them. Anything I can do? Or just remember next time 🥴
