This is temporary and will not have meaningful impact on climate change, unless it creates permanent change. Maybe clients get used to seeing us less often. Maybe more delivery and less retail. Maybe offices move to hot desking and more WFH. We’ll see.
Most international flight routes are either shut down or drastically reduced.
So yes, the pandemic will reduce emissions. But it’s not a sustainable way to reduce them.

I saw an article yesterday on emissions reduction in Italy. Can’t find it right now but they think it’s 80% or more reduction.
